Blair

A week of training; learning how to talk to customers, know how to work the phones and explain different processes and programs all lead me to landing the job.

It was my second day of working in EE and it was going as well as it could be. Today I had to deal with many customers and had to remember how to great them properly while having Gavin, the store manager watch over me like a hawk.

I handed the woman in the queue her bag and typed in some codes into the computer. Once I was finished I sat on the seat behind the desk mindlessly scrolling through my phone, waiting for the next customer.

"Hello there, I was wondering if you could help me?"

"Sure, how can I help you?" I asked the woman who only just stood taller than the desk I was sat behind.

"Well you see, I'm looking for..." The woman began saying as she walk over to the phone she mentioned her daughter was having a problem with transferring her contacts over.

"...Well that's how you transfer them over, but if it doesn't work she can bring it into the store and someone can do it for her." I told her politely.

"Thank you dear," the woman thanked me and turned to walk out the shop.

"Have a nice day!" I called out to her, remembering the rules of how to great and dismiss customers.

I stumbled my way back to behind the desk and fiddled with the papers strewn about, stacking them up into some sort of order.

As I had pushed the papers to one side of the computer monitor a hand brushed under my face and I noticed bitten nails tapping away on the desk next to a smashed iPhone.

"Everything okay Sir?" I asked the man without looking up from the screen, the heavy footed walk and low tones of breath told me the figure was a male.

Once I finished fiddling with nothing I raised my head. Louis Tomlinson. The shock of seeing Louis again made me loose all balance and coolness and I toppled off the stood I was sat on and collapsed to the floor. I cursed many dirty words in my head making a conscious effort to not swear on the job and quickly got back onto my feet bringing the stool up with me and wiping the bottom of my jeans off.

"Sorry 'bout that," I smiled sheepishly at the handsome man who look like he was struggling to hold back his laughter but the creases by his eyes showed he was concerned.

"Hey, Blair right? You okay?" He asked, peering at me over the counter.

I bashfully nodded my head and flicked the fallen strand of hair out of my face, tucking them behind my ear.

"I'm fine, thanks, Louis? I'm just a 'lil clumsy," I asked changing tones to a professional one that should make him forget about my momentary un-coolness.

"Yeah Louis, so um you new working here?" Louis asked tapping his fingers against the top of the wooden desk nervously.
