It has been a month since the hunter encounter. Mason had been let out of the infirmary two weeks after the attack in- almost- full recovery. Antonella and Nerina haven't spoke a word to each other since Nina had asked her sister why she saved her and hadn't got a reply. Nerina and the twins haven't bothered Antonella and Isaac... so far. Theo and Liam have been ignoring each other since the kiss and have only talked if it had been absolutely necessary. Stiles and Jamie had agreed to not speak about the closet incident ever again and decided not even to tell their friends. Kira had gotten up the courage to ask Scott out, he'd obviously said yes and they've been dating ever since. Jackson decided to wait until after New Years to break up with Lydia since he wanted it to be at the right time, Ryan personally thought that he was insane because there was never a right time to break up with someone. As for everyone else, they kept on living their lives.
Lydia, Malia, and Jamie were currently sitting at a picnic table outside on a beautiful Autumn Saturday. They were talking about what normal teenage girls talk about...boys.
"I think Jackson's gonna break up with me," Lydia was saying twiddling her thumbs.
"After jumping in the arms of another boy, I wouldn't be surprised." Malia muttered, Jamie chuckled, and Lydia glared at them both.
"Would it bother you if he broke up with you?" Jamie asked looking at her facial expressions for the real answer.
"Well," she had to think about it which really meant it didn't bother her, "I guess not."
"What are you going to do?" Malia asked propping her elbows on the table and resting her head on her hands.
"I think I'm gonna stay with him until I think he's about to break up with me and do it before he does." She said taking out a mini mirror out of her purse to check her makeup. "Until then I'm gonna find someone boyfriend material." She closed the mirror and put it back in her purse.
"Like who?" Jay wondered. Who on Earth did she have in mind.
"Maybe your brother," Malia choked on air, unnoticed by her friends. "Ooh, or Stiles, he's cute and smart, and I know he's been crushing on me for a while," Lydia finished. Jay scratched her arm out of nervousness trying not to glare at her and Malia saw it.
"Lyds, Jay and I are gonna go to the science lab and finish homework." Before Malia could stand up Lydia stood up.
"I'll leave. Gotta be somewhere anyways." She started walking then stopped and looked at them over her shoulder, "bye." She then strutted off.
The two new besties were left sitting across from each other watching their crazy friend leave.
"Do you like someone?" Jay blurted out. She couldn't help it, that question had been at the top of her tongue for a while. Malia went stiff.
