9 Crying
Noijaku
"I love you." Noiz said. Koujaku almost choked on his breath.
"Excuse me?"
"I love you." Koujaku looked at him, disbelieving. "I wouldn't joke about something like this."
"I-you...er, but..." Koujaku didn't know hot to respond. Why would he suddenly say that?
"I understand, it's fine, forget I said it." Noiz turned away from the hairdresser, "I'm used to it. See ya around, Koujaku." Koujaku watched him leave unable to do anything. Noiz just confessed that love Koujaku, he even called him by his name! He must be serious.
"No, I didn't mean I don't love you back, brat..." Koujaku mumbled frowning at Noiz's retreating back.
It wasn't fine. Noiz sniffed, trying to swallow the lump in his throat.
"Master?" Usagimodoki called. Back in the safety of his apartment Noiz was holding his head in his hands. He looked up at the cube,
"Yeah, Usagi?" he croaked in reply. Tear dripped from the tip of his nose where they'd accumulated as he hung his head.
"You're crying, master. Can Usagimodoki help?" Noiz wiped his noise, tears still rolling down his cheeks.
"Nah, I'm fine Usagi." he whispered trying to stop his voice from cracking to no avail.
"Master..." when he was hurting because of his parents he had his brother, in way, but now, here on Midorijima, he didn't really have anyone that close.
"I can always rely on you, Usagi." he muttered, sniffling as he petted the little cube. "Ugh, I need to stop grovelling and crying like a child. I'm such a stupid brat, why am I even alive?" he sighed feeling heavy, "I'm just a weird human who can't feel the same way others do, and I don't belong."
Koujaku was pressed against Noiz's apartment door and his heart ached as he heard Noiz's words. It was ironic, really, that he and Noiz should share affections. He who suffered through so much pain and he who longed to feel it. Beni was is sleep mode in his pocket as Koujaku stood hesitating about going in. He took a deep breath to harden his resolve and knocked on the door, despite the doorbell.
"Who is it?" Koujaku panicked.
"...Ah..."" Silence enveloped the hallway as his voice died in his throat. He stood in front of the door visibly freaking out.
"Hello?" Noiz walked to his door and peered through the peephole. He stepped back, startled and taken aback. What was Koujaku doing here?! How did he know where he lived?
"Ah, N-Noiz? Can I-can I talk to you?" Koujaku stumbled over his words. Noiz had a panic attack of his own. He couldn't let Koujaku see him like this!
"H-hold on a sec." he silently cursed himself as he stuttered himself. He went into the bathroom to try and clean up his face a bit. He took a deep breath to calm himself and adopt his usual demeanor as he opened the door. Koujaku looked startled and nervous.
"Ah, s-sorry for interrupting and intruding but, uh, you left earlier before I could finish talking to you. M-may I co-come in?" he internally cursed every word under the sun as he stuttered uncharacteristically once again. Noiz nodded and move to the side to let Koujaku in. Koujaku nervously walked in, leaving his shoes in the allotted space by the door.
They stood in the livingroom in silence for a while,
"Noi-"
"Kou-" both stared simultaneously. They stared awkwardly at each other. "Ah."
"Ah." Noiz looked at the floor, "Y-you go first." he offered, mentally scolding himself for stuttering again.
"Oh, uh, I-uh...you took me by surprise earlier, so I-I couldn't reply properly. But I, you-you're important to me," Noiz frowned, a pained look, of sorts, on his face, "and I couldn't tell if you were joking at the time. I didn't want to embarrass myself so I didn't say it. But I-I love you too." Koujaku was blushing heavily as he looked away from Noiz who was staring in disbelief. "I tried to ignore or...get rid of the feeling but it didn't work. I-I'm sorry if I made you feel lonely while I tried to sort my words out." Koujaku stepped toward Noiz and grabbed him by his waist, "I really do love you, brat." the hairdresser admitted, pulling the blonde boy closer and smothering his lips with his own. Noiz threw any caution to the wind, he could indulge himself and deal with the consequences later. Their mouths moved together desperately,
"You took forever, old man." Noiz taunted into Koujaku's mouth, dipping his tongue between Koujaku's parted lips and teeth, piercing clicking as they knocked his teeth. Somehow, without parting, they made it to Noiz's bed. "I was even crying." Noiz said quietly as he laid himself on the bed below Koujaku. The Ribster descended upon the Rhymer and brushed his hand against his cheek.
"I could tell," he started, kissing Noiz's forehead, "I'm sorry," he lightly nibbled on Noiz's ear, "but the next time you cry it won't be from sorrow." he whispered huskily into the ear he released from his mouth. Noiz snaked his arms around Koujaku's neck,
"Is that a promise?" his lips curled into a sly smirk.
"Ha," Koujaku's mouth became a wolfish grin, "brat." he latched his teeth onto Noiz's neck, "Yeah, it is."
A/N: And he wasn't wrong. *wink wink*
