My reoccuring nightmare once again captures my subcontious mind. I walk down a path which suddenly splits in  two. Which way always swwms to be the question either or ends badly. Tonight I take the right path leaving the left in my dust. An image of my parents appear, my dad in a nasty battle with his wolf while, my mother screams as the cinnamon man advances on her. I squeeze my eyes shut on;ly to reopen them to a funeral, my parents funeral.

A shadow slants across my face as a deep rumbling laugh fill the room, "I already told you darling.  No one can escape the gingerbread man."

I wake sitting straight up cold sweat running down my spin. I pull my knees to my chest and whisper, "It was just a dream," comforting myself before adding, "I hope."
