Finn had asked you to come near the park at 7 just before the sunset, he said he had something important to tell you, you thought he was gonna tell you he loved you, assuming because you guys had been dating for 10 months. Your anniversary just 3 days away. Finn had seemed distant throughout the week, you thought it was because he was planning something or it was just his work schedule.

Finn showed up with bloodshot eyes, he had on a black hoodie, jeans and checkered vans. His hair was shoved under a beanie. He looked like shit but you thought he was gorgeous.

You tried greeting him but he interuppted you.

❛Hey love-❜

❛I'm breaking up with you.❜ You were on the swing, swinging back and forth. You stopped, you could hear his hesitation, like he was unsure.

❛What?❜ Hoping this was some joke

❛Im breaking up with you,❜ He said more confidently.

Through teary eyes you watched the sun fall behind the horizon, painting the sky shades of red and pink, and I thank God that this day has come and gone. All the pain I suffered. All the hurt I've felt. Everything. Gone.

"Do you see those colours, Y'n?" Finn asks in his most comforting voice. "They are symbols. Each showing you the good tomorrow could bring." I want to tell him that soon those colours will be hidden within the black despair of night, a symbol of the suffering that tomorrow is going bring. Instead I stay silent. It's better to suffer alone, I tell myself. I acted like it wasn't a big deal

❛Ok.❜ I smiled at him, even through my tears, my heart was breaking. Who am I kidding? Our relationship was in the deep end anyway, we never spend time together like we use too, though I saw it coming, it still hurts. It's that feeling in your stomach when your hearts broken, it's like all the butterflies just died.

Yeah she's smiling, but youre a fool to think she's ok
