It was the morning before I got to go back to Hogwarts. I looked at my clock next to my bed, it read 6:34. I got out of bed and chose my outfit for the first half of the day until I got changed into my robes on the Hogwarts Express later that day. I chose a black long sleeve shirt and light blue jeans with rips in the knees.
"Good morning, Hermione!" Mum said to me as I raced down the stairs to grab my breakfast before we headed to King's cross later that day.
"Morning, mum" I answered.
"Ready for school yet? We are leaving in two hours." She asked me in an eager tone,
"Yup," I said popping the "P".
"You can do whatever you want for the next two hours before we head to the station," mum told me and I smiled.
"Ok, mum," I replied and skipped away.

We got to the train station within 10 minutes from when we left the house. I said goodbye to my mum and dad and got on to the train. I was reading my book when Harry and Ron came in.
"Hello, 'Monie!" Ron said when they came into the train compartment.
"Hi, Ron... Harry..." I said trying to not sound unhappy that they came in while I was reading my book.
"How was your summer, 'Monie?" Harry asked me.
"It was ok..." I responded a bit too quickly because, of course, I wanted to go back to my book.
"Hey, Ron?" Harry asked looking at Ron smiling"
"Yes, Harry?" Ron replied.
After that, they were talking too much so I ignored them and went back to reading my book.

We arrived at Hogwarts, finally, it was starting to get hard to ignore Harry and Ron when they are talking so much AND you are stuck in the same train compartment as you are sitting in.
A few minutes later the carriages arrived and it ended up having Harry, Ron, Neville, Luna, Ginny, and I.
For a long time, there was nothing but silence.
"What do you think our 3rd year is going to be like?" Neville asked no one in particular, probably only trying to break the silence and have a bit of conversation.
"At least you are going to be in 3rd year, Luna and I are stuck as 2nd years!" Ginny muttered angrily as if it answered the question, making the rest of the ride a silent and eery ride.
We arrived at the Great Hall within minutes and the sorting began. (A/N: I am too lazy to write out the entire sorting ceremony... so enter sorting ceremony here.)
--time skip to next day--
I woke up and got dressed. Today was my favorite day of the year! Today was the first day of school and I did not even care that my first class today was potions, I just liked school and homework.
I walked downstairs to find Ginny also ready for the first day of school.
"Hey, Gin!" I said smiling when I got downstairs.
"Oh! Hey, 'Monie!" she replied.
"Ready to go down to breakfast?" I asked her.
"Sure, let's go!" she responded with a smile on her face.
We headed down to the Great Hall to get some breakfast.
A bit later we had finished our breakfast and started heading off to classes.
"What is your first class, Gin?" I asked.
"Defence Against the Dark Arts, you?" she answered.
"I have Potions," I said before I rushed off to class.
