The wolf inside of me was still trying to fight reason as we walked away. Luckily I was able to control him enough to not shift right then and there. If I were to wait too long my wolf might end up running the show.
Having Alpha blood can be dangerous once you find your mate. When an Alpha finds their other half they can only live a few months without losing their mind. Other ranked wolfs are a different matter. The wolf will fight for control the longer you are away from your mate. Usually a lower ranking wolf can be controlled into some obedience but only by an Alpha.
Things are different if one of the mating pair chooses to reject the bond. The ties that connect them can be severed but it can never be reversed. Both sides would have to accept the rejection for it to go into effect.
