It was a hot and sunny Wendsday the first day of school. All the other kids knew each other.I didn't know anyone. I even over heard them talking.
Jenna:"Why the hell would school start in the middle of the week".
Kera:foreal!! "Thats tappin I could've been home right nah.
I spent the rest of my time in class alone taking tutorials for math on a computer.I hate getting teached by a teacher running thier big mouth.
Oh yea by the way my name is shantorey.But you can call me torii.
Next period was 3/4, its only like that because we have block schedule.
Thats when we have even and odd days.
3/4 period was lunch time. I got my tray it took me almost half an hour just to get my food.There were so many students, the lines were so long,and the servers were so slow thankfully lunch was an hour and 45 minutes long.
When i finally got my food witch felt like 2 hours because I was so nervous I got even more nervous because i didn't know where to sit.
I didn't want to look like an outcast or lame. Thankfully a gurl invited me to her table she was siting at the end of a table by herself. "Whats your name she asked me"?
I replied shyly "torri
"well my name is kashara and did you come here last year and what grade you in" she said loudly and sort of with an attitude of ? "No i didnt come here last year and im a junior in the 11th grade"---"well of course your in the 11th grade"."huh"? I said confusedly
"You said im a junior in the 11th grade well of course you are" said kashara "If you a junior you in the 11th grade duhh.
"Gurl bye, you asked me a question and I was politley answering it and i didnt ask for yo input" I said harshly bringing the ghetto out of me witch ibwas trying to avoid while grasping my tray so tight my fingers almost piercing through, my palms sweating and im angrily nervous.
Kashari: i was just playin wicha but wateva.
I was walking away while kashara was talking. I was suddenly not hungry any more. I went to the bath room and quicly walked to a stall. There were about 15 other gurls in the restroom unexpectedly.
While standing with my head down and hands on my hips i thought to my self,did anyone here me talking like that, does kashara hate me, am i gonna starve for the rest of the day.
I sat in the bathroom for the rest of the day hearing girls talk about how fine theese boys named trey , johnny and mark. Also they talked about how 7/8 period was a free period. Thats how i found out.
After lunch i walked to 5/6 period and i was stoping and going making sure not to bump into anyone. When i got to class i was glad to not see kashara there.
So i walk to the back of the class where theres an empty desk and laptop and sit quietly while the teacher gives instructions. At the end of the period we plug our laptops up on the rack called by rows. Every one talks quietly until the bell rings. A boy walks up to me wass up im trey whats yo number.
I was so nervous i didnt know what to say i never had anyone approach me like that
"umm im shantorrey and you dont need to know all that". I said with a wierd look on my face.
The bell rings luckily he gets no response.
He still says "yea its da free period where you gone be at"?
I reply quickly and louldy while laughing and walking away "i dont know maybe the library some where you need to go".
We smiled at each other and turned.
