Prologue

     My name is Rose. I am 16, turning 17 April 15th. I am actually a guardian angel, well actually the princess of all guardian angels but my parents died when I was 8. I would have done anything to bring them back, so that's just what I did. I had searched and searched for a way. Finally, when I was about 9, I found one way but it would mean betraying my own people. Still, it would all be worth it. At least that's what I thought back then. The only way to bring them back was to ask the demons for help, but demons will ask for something in return. As for me being something very special to royalty, they made me serve as one of them. I accepted thinking everything was still going to be the same, that nothing was going to be bad, life was still going to be fun especially now with my parents around. The demons had tricked me. They didn't bring back my parents at all, at least not in the way I would've expected them to. My parents were alive again but... not in their own bodies... the demons had used birds as their bodies. They had locked up my parents in a cage and they are still in that cage today. I was just a stupid girl falling for their trap. They had done their part so now I had to do my part. I had to serve for the demons... I am half angel and half demon since that day. And this is where I stand today.

Chapter 1 - Angel Princess, Rose

   "Hello demon princess." Ray says. Ray is a very special person to me. He is the only one who understands me and is trying to help me break free from this.

   "I told you, don't call me that! I am only a princess in the guardian angel's realm and not in the demon realm. Here I am but a simple slave just as yourself." I respond with a smile.

   "Yes, which reminds me. Don't you have a festival to attend today in the angel realm?" He says, trying to hint me at the fact that I'm late.

   "Oh no! How could I forget!? Uhhh Ray, you think you can cover for me while I'm gone!?" I ask anxiously.

   "As you wish your majesty." He replies while he takes a bow.

   "Thank you so much Ray! I promise I'll be back soon!" I say as I run off to the angel realm.

   "Oh Rose...Only if you knew how I felt for you... But demons and angels don't go together.. Like you said, you're a princess and I am nothing but a simple slave. I am worthless to you." Ray says quietly to himself as he watches Rose run off.

   "I'm so sorry Gaby! I know I'm late!" I say, rushing into my room.

   "Yeah don't worry about it, just get out of your demon form before someone see's you!" She says while getting my dress ready for the festival.

   "Okay! How do I look?" I ask.

   "If you mean besides the dark, gloomy outfit, and demonic aura, yeah, fine suree" She responded.

   "Haha, very funny... now help me out." I say sarcastically. We both laugh and then get straight to work. Using my magic, I changed my appearance from red to pure white hair. My eyes turned into a light blue while my hard rock solid wings turned into soft, feathered wings. For the finishing touch, I changed into a flowing light blue dress and put on my tiara.

   "Okay, looks like you're ready." Gaby says as she sends me off to the festival.

   "Oh Gaby, I feel terrible doing this to my people. They're very own princess, betraying them." I say with a frown.

   "It's not your fault, you don't have a choice...Just don't think about that right now, think of how your people want to see their princess happy." I nod in response and head towards the stage as they call my name.
