I watched as the basketball swooshed in the net. His eyes widened in shock. I looked up at him and gave him an I-told-you-so look. He really thought I couldn't make that? Yeah it WAS the last line on the fair ground to shoot from, but it honestly wasn't far at all. I waited as my other friends tried, I don't know how they did because, all I could do was think how I knew him from somewhere. I kept looking at him, he glanced over at me and caught me staring. I looked down fast while I blushed. He probably thought I was checking him out, well I kind of was... he was pretty cute, but I mostly wanted to find out how the heck I knew him.

A grown man walked towards him and started talking to him. I knew him too. Then I remembered.

I ran over to my older sister, Taylor, she is extremley tall with light brown hair resting on her shoulders, she just graduated this year and was talking to her long-term boyfriend, carson. when I got to her she looked at me confused while I was signalling her to bend down so i could whisper into her ear.

"Guess who is running the basketball stand." I whispered

"Who? And why are you whispering?" she said in a confused voice.

"Tyler Mann, do you remember him?"

"Nope." she said popping the P

"Do you remember when I was in like 4th or 5th grade and went to that swim party and that guy asked me out, so I went ahead and said yes even though he lived like 40 minutes away?" I said all in one quick breath.

"Not really.." she said a bit slow as if trying to think it over.

"well anyways we had to send notes through our parents since we didn't have cell phones, but we just sort of stopped sending notes and I guess we just kind of forgot about each other, but hes over there and I'm not sure if he remembers me too." I rambled quickly looking at my feet thinking.

"well if you never officially broke-up then that means y'all are technically still together. Doesn't it?" crap I didn't even think of that! I guess basically we were still together, but I haven't seen him in like 7 or 8 years! I sure hope someone doesn't hold on to someone that long. obviously not and that's not the point.

"That doesn't really matter, but damn hes a lot hotter than I remember." I said widening my eyes.

"Then what are you still doing here? Go flirt with him!"

"umm..okay" I mumbled

As I walked over there, Tyler was just shooting baskets by himself. He was pretty good at it, only missing like one. He had short brown hair, and these green eyes that were amazing. He was about 6'1, way taller than me, I was about 5'8. I walked over to my friends who were standing near the stand.

"Hey, why did you run off like that?" my best friend Macey said. she had beautiful, long, black hair. I was always jealous of hair naturally pretty she was.

"I was telling her how I knew the guy running the basketball stand." I said knowing she would ask about it. Her mouth dropped and she pulled me away from all of our other friends.

"Oh my gosh he's so hot! How come you didn't tell me you knew him?"

I told her all about it but as I was telling her someone grabbed me at my waist and twirled me around. I couldnt help but laugh even though I had no idea who it was.

They finally put me down and making me stand with my back into their chest so I still couldn't see them

"Hey Chey." he whispered into my ear although my name is cheyenne, everyone calls me chey. I could already tell by the hard muscled chest that it was a guy, but the voice just gave it away.

"Hey Connor" I said turning around facing him with a sly smile since I knew it was him. His dark brown hair was laying just above his piercing green eyes as they shined with amusement.

"How did you know it was me?" he said surprised with a little smirk.

"I've known you since 2nd grade! So of course I know your voice." Connor was my best-guy friend. We've been best friends forever and, even though I don't tell him about ALL of my boy problems like I do macey, he still knows like everything about me. And it's not that I dont trust him with my boy problems, I do, but I tried to talk to him about it once while we were on my couch and he just fell asleep in the middle of the story, so I just gave up.

"well anyways what are y'all doing?" he asked

"Um, Chey WAS trying to tell me about how she knew this hot guy but before she could finish you had to rudely interrupt, thank you." macey retorted in a sarcastic voice.

"Oh yeah well, we never officially broke-up and I haven't seen him in years, but that's defiantly him." I finished as she looked at me surprised and connor just rolled his eyes.

"Girls have too many issues and gossip, I'm getting a funnel cake and then riding a few rides, call me when you get done with the drama talk so we can ride a few together, see ya." he said as he started walking off torwards the funnle cake stand.

"okay, whatever. Bye." I yelled to him as he went.

"I don't get how you can stand him for too long." macey said while turning up her nose. I laughed at the look on her face and then went to glance over at Tyler, he was teaching this little kid how to shoot the basketball right, even though the little boy just kept granny balling it up there and making it go straight in the air, ignoring what Tyler was trying tell him. I laughed a little under my breath and the looked up at macey who had her eyebrow raised at me.

"What?" I asked a bit confused as to why she was looking at me like that.

"You were so just checking him out." she said knowingly

"I was not." I mumbled looking down and blushing.

"Lets go talk to him." she said biting her lip and walking towards him.

"Alright." I said casually but trying to hide my nervousness while following right behind her. Will he remember me?
