Time is tears, there is no tissue.
Slowly fading away, age progresses.
Years before, Mommy marking your height on the ruler.
That's not possible anymore, you're much taller.
Every time in the past when she measures you.
A tear falls down her cheek.
Why is this her reaction?
You will never understand.
Well, not for a while.
You say goodbye to most of your belongings.
Your Mom and Pop wave goodbye.
You drive into the sunset,
The ride to adulthood.
Smiles everywhere.
Applause, smiles, graduation.
Children,
Grandchildren.
A final goodbye,
The last breath.
Time is tears
