One Heart-Break After Another

Third person POV

"Sooooooooooo, how was the kiss?"

"I-I, y-you, h-he, um,"

"Come on, I know you enjoyed it!"

Alya had a HUGE grin spread across her face.

Marinette just sat there speechless.

"Your face is as red as Nathanael's hair!"

Marinette quickly put her hands over her face to hide her blush.

*sigh* "If you're not going to tell me then I might as well take this chance to invite you to Chloe's sleep over."

Marinette's blush went away.

"Why would I go to her sleep over?"

"Well, it's a co-ed sleep over and Adrien couldn't make it. And by the way, Chloe is dating Nathanael, and it was his idea."

"Really?"

"Yeah, he said something very romantic or whatever and he brought out the good in her. She's a lot nicer than before, and she doesn't force Sabrina into basically slavery anymore, they're actual friends now."

"Is Nino coming?"

"Of course! If Chloe has a date I need one too." *gasp!* "I know,"

"What?"

"You could ask Chat Noir to come with you. You'll be sleeping in the same bed, *wink* *wink*"

Marinette's face went red at the near mention of Chat's name.

"Mwah ha ha! Perfect!"

Marinette hid her blush behind her hands and muffled out:

"When is it."

"Tomorrow night! It's gonna be amazing girl!"

"I can't wait." Marinette tried to sound enthusiastic, but horribly failed.

She was excited but nervous at the same time. She didn't want to see Chloe, but maybe she changed. Maybe she wouldn't make fun of her. She didn't want to hurt her feelings by not coming. But first she would have to go out as Ladybug and purify the akuma. Chat wouldn't really be happy.

She opened the hatch and transformed, she needed to find Chat. She searched the entire city but there was no sign of him. So she sat down on the Eiffel Tower and sighed. She didn't want to make him mad, she couldn't be in two places at once, that was impossible.

Marinette's POV

"Hey Ladybug."

He didn't sound happy

"Hello Chat Noir."

"Where were you!?! Why didn't you show up!?!"

"I'm sorry Chat Noir-"

"You should be! You weren't there to help Marinette, and everyone is still heartbroken!"

I purified the akuma that was in the jar, used my lucky charm, and fixed everything, well, almost everything.

"Why weren't you there?"

"I-I-"

"You know what? If it weren't for the fact that only you can purify akumas, I would say we're done, but since I can't, I still need you, but we're only partners, nothing more! Not even friends."

"B-But Chat I-"

But he left before I could say anything. I could see him in the distance using cataclysm on a street lamp to take out his anger. I went home, holding back my tears. Tikki tried to comfort me, saying it was alright, but it's not alright, nothing is alright.

Then I heard a knock on my window.
