Chapter 7: Josh, Jake and Troy- Oh boy!

Blake's Pov 

Something was off about Chloe. I could tell she was lying to me about having to do something.

There was another reason why she rushed into the school. As I was walking down the hallway I saw Chloe turning a corner looking pissed and in a hurry.

I was curious as to why she looked that way. I turned the corner and looked down the hallway she came from, to see if the person who made her mad was still there.

The only person I recognized was Josh. Well he's clearly the one who pissed her off.

I wonder if that's why she was in such a hurry earlier. To meet him. And he also looked pissed.

I still can't understand why she would stay with someone who treats her the way he treats her.

She deserves better. I hope one day she will see that and leave that bastard. But right now I can't do anything about it.

Yeah if I see him hurting her I'll step in but otherwise there's nothing I can do.

I don't have the right to do anything. Plus she would probably get mad at me for getting in her business, thinking I'm telling her what to do.

For now, I won't say anything. I don't even know why I care. I mean, I've only known her for a short period of time and yet I feel a connection with her already.

She made an impact in my life. She's in my life now. I think about her more than I should.

I don't know why or what it is that makes me think of her most of the time.

Maybe it's because she's a really good friend. Right?

But then again I've never had a girl as a friend before.

Actually come to think of it I've never had a girlfriend either.

Chloe' s Pov

Lunchtime

I was sitting on the ground leaning against a tree with my feet crossed, just watching the few people that were out here.

Enjoying the cool breeze that passed through every now and then.

All of a sudden my phone beeped and it was so peaceful out here that it kind of startled me.

Opening the message I was shocked to see Blake had text me.

Blake- if you need a ride after school I'll take you home. We do live across the street from each other after all ;)

Chloe- Haha, so true. And I guess you can give me a ride since I have no other way home today. Thanks :)

Blake- No problem shortcake, wouldn't want you getting kidnapped or anything

Chloe- wow, what a way to think. You must really want me to get kidnapped or something huh :(

Blake- Oh no kitten, I'd be the one who would hunt the fucker down and kill him, simple as that ;)

Chloe- lol k, good to know :) Anyways what are you doing?

Blake- in the lunch room, texting the best girl in the world- How come I don't see her here?
