"Miss" I heard an unfamiliar voice nudge me. I opened my eyes to see an air hostess hovering over me and gave me a warm friendly smile. "We've landed, I hope you've enjoyed your flight"
"Thanks" I smiled back as sat upright and fixed myself up. I had to look presentable for my new family. I was so scared and wanted to make the best first impression possible.
Once I picked up my carry on luggage I wondered aimlessly around LA airport following other people from my flight towards the baggage collection. This airport was huge, it took me a while to find the baggage collection area but once I got there I literally had to run towards my bright baby blue bags going around on the conveyer belt before they went for another whole laps ride.
"Ooof!" I grunted as I collided with another girl "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry" I said helping her with her back up with her bags.
"Its fine" She replied lowering her snapback and keeping her aviators on, although her voice did sound very familiar.
She stood back and looked at me up and down "Ka-" She stared to say, not long after I herd voices behind me shout "There she is!"
"Shit I'm so sorry, It was good to see you again hopefully I'll see you later!"
"How...wha-....do I know you?" I yelled but she didn't reply as she was already half way down the airport running away from what looked like paparazzi. How did I know her? Was she famous? All these thoughts rummaged through my mind as I tried to look for anyone holding up my name on a poster.
I looked around and saw a woman around her early 40s holding up Kate Brown on a A4 sized poster with a young girl no older than me next to her, that must be Ruby and her mum.
"Hello, I'm Kate" I replied shyly. Ok so I must admit I was shit scared at this moment, hopefully they were lovely and it wouldn't be long until we are all close
"Hello Kate, I'm Natalie but you can call me Nat and this is my daughter Ruby" The woman in her early 40s said as she pulled me into a hug.
"Oh my gosh your her!" Ruby squealed.
"Who?" I asked not knowing who she was referring me to.
"You just met one amazing young model!"
"Really? Who?" I asked and Ruby face palmed herself
"JBiz! She's quite a big model and she is best friends with Alli!" She squealed
"Ohh.." I said acting like I knew what she was talking about but really I had no idea who this Alli person was, maybe she was just famous in America.
"Here let me take your suitcase" Ruby said as she took one of my bags and filled me in about JBiz.
"Oh really I'm fine I can -"
"Its fine" She giggled
