GRACE'S WHOLE LIFE HAS BEEN about appeasing her family, especially her father. She maintained good grades, never spoke out of turn, stayed away from drugs and the wrong crowd, and always attended church. While Kate wore the title 'Preacher's daughter' with ease, to Grace it felt like a facade, a costume she could never take off. But when her mother, the only one who truly knew her passes away, Grace can't stand to play the part anymore. And it seems neither can her father, who uproots them all for a hellish trip to Mexico.
