Jake's POV
RIIIIIING!
The bell rang, signalling the end of math class. Thank God. I grabbed my stuff and I walked with my best friend Seth, shoulder to bicep (he's taller than me).
"That was a confusing lesson," I complained. He just shugged, meaning he basicly understood the lesson like he always did.
Honestly, he was, like, the coolest nerd I've ever known. By his appearance, you wouldnt really think he was really smart. You'd just think that he wasn't completely dumb.
He had a big build for a sixteen year old, tall 5'9 to my 5'5, short black hair that swished upwards and had big, stylish glasses on his round face.
"I guess, but honestly once you find the pattern, it's really simple," he commented. There he went again. Talking about patterns and shit that only he found a lot faster than anyone else in our class.
I got frustrated sometimes because I wasn't at his level of intelligence, and when he talked about patterns and having the ability to see numbers and patterns in the air, like a bigger piece of scratch paper, I usually just nodded with him, pretending that I know exactly what he was talking about.
Oh, sorry, I totally forgot to introduce myself.
Hi. My name is Jake. I'm sixteen, ginger, have glasses, pale white skin with a few shades of tan, and I have blueish-green eyes.We met up with Spencer- who every one mistakes me as- and he went on talking about how in gym class, the teacher made him run 3 laps on the track field because he sneezed loudly, and argued that that didn't deserve a lap.
People mistook us only because our hair styles were kinda similar and our height was the same. But he was blond, had a longer face, had more acne around his face, skinnier, and more annoying than I was. And he had noodle arms.
After Seth and I laughed at his misery for a few seconds, I found myself looking at my friend, Meg, talking to one of her many friends.
Between you and me, I kinda had a big crush on her. I had since eighth grade. I was a sophmore during this.
Meg was sixteen as well. She had long flowing blonde hair, striking blue eyes, tan skin, and a perfect face. She was a few inches shorter than me, and she was adorable, loving, compassionate, and optimistic.
Plus, she had a good figure.
I guessed I stared at her a bit too long, since she glanced at me and at the same time Seth nudged me, waking me from my trance. I looked up at him.
He gave me a grin, and looked at Spencer. He does the same.
"Oh, shut the fuck up guys," I say, embarrassed."Jake's got a girrrlfriend, oooOOOooo," Spencer teased, saying the phrase in a girly voice and emphasizing the word girl.
"At least I didn't date a girl that partly wanted to date me because I looked like someone she couldn't have," I shot back defensivly. Spencer shut right up.
"Guys, guys, stop. Guys make mistakes on who they date, and they also are allowed to have crushes," Seth tried to reason. Spencer and I both huffed at the same time.
"And its not like she'll like me any more than a friend anyway," I said in a dejected tone, looking down.
"Hey. Come on, man. Cheer up. Maybe it will work out this time," Seth said optimistically.
