It had been too long since Forth and Beam had gone out on a date, and it was getting increasingly harder to meet up since they were all graduating soon. Most of their time was spent studying and attending school activities and by the time they were done with everything, all they wanted to do was sleep.
School was important to him, but so was Beam. If they didn't have time to go out for a date, then there was nothing else he could do but improvise and so he did.
Forth had gotten all six of them together for a study group. He figured it would be convenient if they studied at the medical faculty and would have taken a ride from Ming, but then he wouldn't have been able to ride his motorcycle which was one of his favorite hobbies. Studying took up a lot of time so he wasn't able to go out for drinks, much less have time to do the things he wanted. Riding his bike made him feel better and the wind blowing across his face, eased the stress he'd been feeling for the past few weeks.
Before reaching the medical faculty, he had gotten some cold beverages and snacks. He had no idea what everyone else besides Beam like to eat, so he purchased a variety of snacks and drinks. He continued to stroll towards one of the benches outside the faculty, where Beam and his friends were sitting. His heart sped up with anticipation at the thought of seeing Beam again. He frowned as he came closer and noticed how pale the other boy looked. His face looked as white as an unboiled egg and the white long sleeved shirt he was wearing, fit him looser than normal.
I guess I'm not the only one worried about our final exams.
Forth placed the drinks and snacks on the table before pushing some of them towards Beam. He understood that studying medicine wasn't easy and that it came with sacrifices, but he didn't like that Beam's health was taking a toll. After they were done studying, he'd invite all of them for dinner as an excuse to get Beam to eat more...
Actually, taking them out to dinner was just a pretext. There was another reason why he had gathered everyone together today. There was something important he wanted to ask Beam, and he wanted to do it while all of their friends were present.
Beam's lips curved upwards and he thanked him for bringing over some of his favorite snacks.
"This should tide you over until we're done studying", Forth mentioned. Beam raised an eyebrow at him and looked like he wanted to say something, and he quickly added, "It's not good to study on an empty stomach right?", the rest of the group had thanked him and Beam had smiled at him before grabbing something to eat.
Several hours had passed and most of his work was done. He didn't know how he had accomplished that, it was truly a miracle. There were times where he had lost focus and several moments where he had lost interest in his studies in favor of staring at Beam. It was pure mental torture having Beam so close, but not being able to talk to him or touch him.
He put his pen down and continued to gaze at Beam without his knowledge. Forth's eyes traveled to Beam's thin and white fingers, currently moving across his notes as he tried to solve an equation. Beam's pale hands held no scars and looked smooth to the touch, unlike his own.
He loved Beam's hands. They were the hands that took care of him when he was injured - which was often - hands that gently patted his back when he was angry in attempt to soothe him, and hands that intertwined with his when they were making love.
Forth was used to working with his hands and he was lazy when it came to taking care of them. His hands felt rough to the touch and were not at all like Beam's own hands, which looked like hands that were not accustomed to the kind of work that Forth did, (there was no way he was going to mention this to Beam, he'd probably get kicked in the balls or something, and he needed those) they looked like the hands of someone who was used to being pampered.
