I always loved the beach. The light blue waves washing over the sand. The smell of the salty air. The beach also reminded me of Finnick. My true love.
People used to tell me the games changed people. I didn't fully understand until I saw what it did to my best friend. I still don't really understand. I've never been in the games. But seeing what the games had done to Finnick. I'm glad I was never reaped.
I miss my friend. He was the only one that was there for me after my mom died. He used to be so kind. Now he's sarcastic, rude, and snobby.
I tried to talk to him but he never listens. That's going to change though. Because today, I'm going to his house.

I knocked on his front door in the victors village. After a few seconds it opens. He looks at me and I look at him. Then he shuts the door. I sigh in frustration. I knew he would do that. That's why I have a back up plan.I walk around to the back of his house and look into a window. The rooms clear. I push the window in and climb through the new hole in the wall.
I try and walk quietly through the house. I find Finnick sitting on his couch, staring at a black t.v.
"Finnick?" I say quietly.
His head snaps to me. And for the first time in three years, I finally saw his beautiful green eyes.
