He rushed to his closet and found a note on it.
"Here's your clothes." it was written neatly on a piece of paper. He had no time to think and grabbed anything he could find in that closet. As soon as he's changed he opened the enveloped and grabbed the paper in it.
"Scarlet Witherthorn, Age 18, hair color Red.." he skimmed the paper, looking for important things to remember.
"How am I going to fit in?" he asked himself. He found another note in the envelop and read it, "You'll need to dye your hair" Since the common trait of hunters was having black or auburn hair, he had to dye his bright blonde hair.
'What a coincidence' he thought to himself as he found packets of hair dye on the table near his bed.
'I still have time left' he stared at the clock hands that pointed at seven and six. 'The Opening Ceremony starts at noon' he sighed and grabbed the packets of hair dye and went inside the bathroom.
Hours passed and both of the clock's hands pointed at twelve. It was time for the Opening Ceremony. He grabbed his bag and slipped the envelop inside. He thought that it would be a waste of time to pass the long hallway and go down the stairs so he decided to jump out the window. He opened the window and looked down at the streets of the City.
'It's not too high, oh well.' he counted to three until he jumped out, landing on his feet. He felt the rocky road touch his boots and felt something bump on his back after the fall.
"Watch where you're going!" a voice yelled loudly. He turned to his back only to find a girl with distinctively red hair and emerald eyes.
"I'm sorry ma'am." he said politely. He was starting to think the girl looked quite strange.
'She must be..'
"You should be, you almost landed on my face!" she interrupted his thoughts, crossing her arms on her chest.
Before he could speak the girl walked past him and marched grumpily towards the Academy. "It's definitely her, Scarlet Witherthorn." he murmured to himself before chasing after her.
"Hey wait up." He soon caught up to her and grabbed her right shoulder.
"What do you want?" she said, her eyebrows furrowed in frustration.
"I'm new here and I don't know where the Academy is." he said.
She gazed at him coldly until she finally replied, "Fine come with me." she said grumpily. She walked right in front him and marched straight towards the Academy.
"Thanks, I'm Lawrence Hardwing." he announced but he was replied by her cold gaze. She looked at the road in front and pretended that she didn't hear him.
"Thanks, I'm Lawrence Hardwing." he repeated. He already knew she heard him before but he just wanted to make sure.
"I know!" she shouted, still not having eye-contact with him. He uttered a slight chuckle and continued to follow her.
Along the way he saw hundreds of tall buildings that stood mightily. They say Raymoore City is home to only the noble hunters. The rest lived on other cities or the outskirts of Raymoore. Everyone he saw was dressed in fine clothing and wore expensive jewelry. Suddenly, they heard a loud bang just in the vicinity. They heard concrete crumbling above them. Lawrence immediately noticed a huge concrete block falling towards them and shoved Scarlet to the ground to safety. Both of them watched as the rest of the building crumbled until there was nothing left.
"Yo-You saved me." she stammered, she was still in shock.
"Look, I owe you for helping me, don't take it personally." he said and held out his hand for her to grab, she hesitated at first but then she decided to hold it. He already knew that she was in danger, but he shouldn't tell her since she doesn't know why yet.
Silence filled the whole place, she didn't even cared to say thank you.
'Maybe she's still in shock to why a mere stranger would save her life. I must be careful, she might suspect me.' he thought to himself as he brushed his newly dyed hair.
"I'm sorry if I shoved you too hard." he apologized as he slowly pulled her away from the ground until her feet touched the ground.
Many people were staring at the building, confused at what was happening. Some of them were circling around it, trying to find people that were buried under the rubble.
She nodded back to him and pointed at a huge stone wall with a green gate as the entrance. Hunters' Academy was written above the gate with the Hunters' Crest engraved on it. "That's the academy." she said.
"Lets hurry, I hope were not late." he held her hand once more and they both darted towards the academy. There were two hunters guarding each side of the gate. As soon as they saw them they opened it widely for them to enter.
