Rentarou's Pov

2021

2021, the year when everything started to go downhill, because of the rise of the Gastrea virus. I was walking with a blanket wrapped around my six year old body. I was standing in the middle of a lot people when gastrea bugs flew towards the city above us. One of the gastrea attacked us. All the people stampeded and I tripped. The gastrea was towering above. I was absolutely terrified that I could not move, I can't run, I can only sit there and watch as I would be killed by this monster in front of me... that is until I heard two gunshots and the gastrea fell to the ground, dead. A man wearing a metal mask with a smiling face on it suddenly appeared in front of me, holding two funny looking guns in both of his hands.

"You might wanna find another place for a coffee break my boy. I'm in the mood to kill something!"

7 years later

'Shit, I'm gonna be late!' A boy with purple hair and brown eyes thought to himself, while running down the corridor of his school. 'Dad is so gonna kill me for this if I get late, I'll be stuck babysitting Kohina if I get detention again.'

I kept running when I bumped into Miori, our student council president, also the daughter of the president of the company that makes Varanium weapons.

"You should slow down Rentarou, or I'm gonna have to give you your final warning" Miori said with an edge of authority in her voice.

"But I'm gonna be late Miori!!" "Just tell them I called for you before you could get to class, here's an excuse note" I accepted the slip of paper from Miori, thanked an ran to my class.

Miori's pov

"That boy, probably with his father last night doing a mission. I wonder why he trusted me so much that he told me his adoptive father is Kagetane Hiruko"

Flashback

"Hey Miori can I tell you a secret?" asked a 10 year old Rentarou Satomi.

"Sure, I promise I won't tell anybody" a 10 year old Miori said.

"My adoptive dad is Hiruko Kagetane, cool right? Though he did told me not to tell anybody sa hush, ok?" "Alright Rentarou"

End of Flashback

I smiled at the thought that he trusted me more than that Kisara Tendou. 'Though Kagetane being his adoptive dad can be a problem, based on the research I did on him' I thought. "Let's just hope that he wouldn't be like his father then" I whispered to myself and finally went back to the Student Council room to finish some paperwork.
