chapter 6

its been five days since the accident. i havent been doing anything. hayes has been out. actually, i havent seen him at all since the night i cam home from the hospital. i decided i would call him.

"hayes? i havent seen you in five days." i say.

"sorry babe. ive been.. busy." he replies.

"whats the noise behind you?" i ask. it sounded like a bunch of girls.. at a party.

"nothing babe. ill see yo tomorrow. promise. bye." he says and hangs up.

"i thought we were dating.." i whisper to myself.

i walk doenstairs to get a sandwitch and my phone starts to go off. it was nash.

"hello?" i say.

"SHES AWAKE. SHES AWAKE!! IM ON MY WAY TO GET YOU!" he sounded like he has been crying.

"i can drive myself." i giggle.

"to bad. im almost there." he says laughing.

i put on hollister jeans and a pink crop top. i throw on my galaxy vans and head to the door.

i walk outside and nash pulls into the driveway. i run to the car and hop in the passenger seat.

"hey nash!" i nearly scream.

im so excited to see my sister. its been five days and i miss her more then anything.

i decided to text hayes.

to babee 💕- hey. haileys awake. come to the hospital when your not busy.. love you.

from babee 💕- who is this?

to babee 💕- chelsey.. yah know? your girlfriend.?

from babee 💕- this isnt hayes. im lexi.. and hate to break it to you babe.. but hayes and i slept together last night. buh byee. xoxo

i nearly dropped my phone. how could he do this?

we arrive at the hospital and i run to the room where my sister is being held.

"HAILEY!" i scream running to her side.

"shut up. were in a hospital loser." she said laughing.

a tear trickles down my cheek. "ive missed you so much." i say giving her a hug. she smiles and i leave her to have time with nash.

"chelsey..." i look up to who said my name.

hayes.

"howd you know i was here?" i reply rolling my eyes.

"nash called.. i saw those texts.. im sorry..." he said grabbing my hand.

"what happened? i want to hear your side before i break this relationship off." i say pulling my hand away.

"taylor and carter invited me to a party.. and i decided to go.. i met a girl.. had a few drinks.. and next thing i know.. im with a girl.. and you know what happened." he said looking down.

"whatever." i say rolling my eyes.

"are we still together?" he said.

"i think we should take a break." i reply not looking at him.

"are you mad at me..?"

"i said we need to take a break. bye hayes." i say getting up and walking back to my sisters room.

could this summer get any worse?
