Prologue
That’s all she remembered seeing is her friends and then she remembers a tall, lean man putting a gun to her head. “Let her go!” Mitchell cried running at her attacker. The attacker just pushed the boy away. “You want the girl, give me the gem!” The man said. Mitchell looked at him angrily “Why should we give you the gem!” he growled. “Because if you don’t, your friend is as good as dead,” she pushed the gun closer to Ravyn. She shivered but managed “Don’t do it!” Mitchell looked at her then at the man. Mitchell handed the gem to the man. The man chuckled. "Hasnt your parents ever told you to to never trust a stranger." then he shot her "NO!"
Chapter 1: The teens
It was a dark and stormy day at Merriet Brown Middle School. Ravyn, Kevin, Mitchell and Michael were talking about random stuff when Ravyn brought up the topic of the state fair, which was about 3 week
“So what are you thinking of doing for the booth” Ravyn asked Kevin, who was in charge of directing the booth for the fair.
“Well, I was thinking of a summer theme” Kevin said
“With a dunk tank!” Michael butted in.
Kevin laughed “Yes with a dunk tank” He looked at Ravyn “And I know who can be in the dunk”
Ravyn put her hands up and said loudly “NOPE!”
“Yes!” all of the boys said.
“Whatever!” Ravyn said looking away from them “Your all useless to me!”
"What!" Mitchell said
"I dont know" Ravyn said laughing.
The four teens had been friends since about a year ago and they had gotten along well (other than the fact that Ravyn was the only girl) Ravyn had tried to make other friends, but, nobody was as awesome as the boys. She looked at the ground and saw something shimmering. She picked up the object. "Hey guys look at this" she said to the boys. The object was a greenish, blue colored gem with a golden edge. "Woah! What is it?' Kevin said. "I am not sure." Ravyn said still looking at the gem. She traced her finger agiast the edge. It sparkled. "It must have fell off of a girls neckless or something." Michell said. Ravyn shrugged "Well, finders, Keepers," she said. Just then the bell rang.
"Lets get to class before we are late." Kevin said
