With Ha-Seon besides me, all my nerves were firing off. I could barely filter what I was saying, and came close to slipping out something embarrassing.
Earlier, I had went to check on Ha-Seon, and not surprisingly she was having trouble sleeping. Somehow I found myself holding her hand.
I wasn't thinking. And I was having a hard time now.
Maybe it was just because I was up late, but it was difficult for me to concentrate. The cold air hit my skin, making me realize how warm my skin had gotten. Why did it become some sort of drama all the sudden?
Thinking about it, I haven't known Ha-Seon long enough as I have known the guys. Yet, being around her, I somehow felt... certain. Was I doing the right thing?
Everything was clouding my head, fogging my thoughts and confusing me. The time I had accidentally slammed my elbow into her nose changed nearly everything. Of course, when I was with Namjoon and the rest, things were bright and different, but every time I was anyway from them, I felt like shit.
I know one day they'd probably grow to be more distant. It was that fear that always had me anxious. They were the only people I could trust with anything, and the thought of them becoming closer to somebody else sickened me.
But here I was, becoming nervous around somebody I hated in beginning, and now I feel pathetic knowing I sympathize Ha-Seon. She had been through something similar than I had, and maybe that was why I felt like I needed to take care of her.
Part of me felt like an asshole for thinking like that. Like she couldn't handle it herself. At least, when I was younger, I hated feeling pity.
I stole a quick glance over at Ha-Seon. She leaned over the railing, the oversized hoodie sleeves hiding her hands as she rested against them. Her eyes, once dark green, were now lightened by the bright city below.
Suddenly, her gaze shifted to mine, catching me staring. Embarrassed, I turned away, hearing her quiet laughter. The sound was hushed, as if not wanting to be caught.
"You okay?" her voice seemed to whisper in my ears. I shivered and rubbed my hands on my arms, trying to disguise my reaction.
"Yeah," I replied, "just cold." Laughter flooded my hearing once again, a warm touch gripping my arm. Surprised, I looked down and saw Ha-Seon's hand holding on my arm through the sleeve and tugging me inside.
"No wonder you're cold," she shook her head once she slid the balcony doors shut, "you're outside with just a tank top on. It's winter, you know."
But, truth was, I wasn't cold. It wasn't because it was winter, either.
Ha-Seon turned away from me, averting her attention to one of the paintings hung up in my room. Her lips moved, but I couldn't hear her words or voice.
She stood there, unaware of what I was feeling.
I wasn't too sure what I was feeling either.

In the morning, after getting just three hours of sleep, Hoseok had woken me up by rolling all over me and singing some weird chant. Because nobody had closed the balcony blinds, the sunlight streamed inside and nearly blinded me.
"Get off," I growled, trying to push Hoseok off, his elbow digging into my stomach. I needed more sleep.
He eventually rolled away, but laughed loudly. "Aren't you happy?"
I narrowed my eyes, "Happy about what?"
"Ha-Seon is cooking!" he announced giddly. Once he uttered the word 'cooking,' it seemed as if my other senses had just started working; the smell of eggs and baking enhanced and leaving me hungry and grumpy.
Hoseok suddenly fled the room, bounding down the stairs, loudly echoing throughout the house. Downstairs, I could Ha-Seon laughing along with Jin and Namjoon.
The noise made me bury my face in a pillow, annoyed that the nerves from yesterday hadn't disappeared overnight.
