"Yea, that's me." Eva shyly replied, chuckling slightly as she stood up and returned the acoustic to where it was.

"Well, I'm Pete," the musician started, pointing down the group as he introduced the people Eva already knew lyrically. "And, that's Patrick, Joe, Andy, Tyler, and finally Josh." She nodded and smiled as Pete came forward and hugged her tightly. If she learned anything in the past two days, it was that musicians love hugging, but she didn't mind. The group followed, each pulling her tightly into them. Eva felt slightly overwhelmed for a second. "I'm actually gonna head inside for a second. I'll be back." She walked out past the pool, rubbing her head tiredly, and felt Brendon come up next to her nonchalantly. "Everything good?" She nodded and explained that she just needed a second and wanted to change out of her embarrassing band merch. He laughed in response and she went upstairs, putting on a plain white shirt with cut-off sleeves. When Eva returned, the six guys accompanied by her mom and dad sat on the couches.

"You have an amazing voice," Tyler told her as she walked in. "Really, it's impressive," Patrick added. Eva was slightly shocked. She never thought she was very good at singing. She loved music with all her heart but didn't think she could ever do something with it. "Thank you, that means a lot coming from you guys." Conversation grew rapidly, breaking off into different groups of people and Eva rotating around the room. At one point, her taking a break from all the chatter to get water from the kitchen and watch the adults from the counter, Tyler walked up, accompanied by Josh and Pete. "Hey," she welcomed quietly.

"Hi," Tyler answered back, grabbing a water for himself after passing the drummer and bassist one and joining her at the counter. His followers talked among themselves at the doorway, ignoring him and Eva. "What's up?" he asked her. "Nothing much. You get bored in there?" Eva joked, elbowing him lightly as they both laughed. "You could put it that way."

Silence fell between them and Eva could tell Tyler wanted to talk about something. "So, I know I just met you and stuff. But, we talked for while and with your dad, we're kinda family in a weird way now."

"Yea. So?" Eva asked, confused but not wanting to look over. She looked down at her hands and watched her fingers run against her wrist gently. She was fully aware she was exposed, especially to these people that were going to be in her life now. But, with a new life she didn't want to hide. Tyler cleared his thought as he spoke, "I just, I saw the scars. I wanted to make sure you're okay." Eva felt the flutter of fear that comes up when people mention these things, but let it fly away. "Thank you Tyler. I'm fine. Eight months clean actually," she replied, swallowing a proud smile. He nudged her shoulder gently, making her look up to the singer's eyes. "That's amazing, Eva. Seriously." She smiled again as her thank you. "I'm sorry you went through that though." Her face fell a little, knowing other people had it worse and had better reasons. But, she let her pride come back quickly. "It's okay. I'm better now. Brendon and Sarah are going to help me through my other stuff. I'll be okay. Honestly, I never thought I'd see any of the artists like you or Brendon in concert let alone live with you." Eva shook her head just at the thought of how crazy her life was now.

"We'll change the concert part," he giggled. "And, if you ever need anything, just call me. Or any of us. We're family now." Eva nodded, feeling safe here. Soon enough, Pete and Josh came over. They'd slyly mentioned that she could come to them for anything as well and she saw them look at her past destruction. She thanked them and told them she wasn't scared anymore. Eva felt confident in that moment for some reason.

"We're so excited for you to be apart of us, E." Pete said, wrapping her in a hug again. She sank into the embrace for a second before pulling away, raising her eyebrow. "E?" she chuckled. "Of course. What kind of weird uncle/bad influence am I without a nickname?" Eva nodded in agreement before punching him lightly on the arm. Eva thought for a second, then turned to Josh. "Hey, could you redye my hair? I have the dye upstairs." Josh smiled and nodded enthusiastically. "Let's go!" he practically screamed, lifting her off the counter and carrying her upstairs with Pete and Tyler trailing behind.
