"Jesse!" My teeth grit at hearing an all too familiar voice behind me, I turn on my heel, giving the greasy girl a forced smile,

"Maya, great, you found me." The girl gives me one of her  'mischievous smiles' as she calls them, a bit of tomato sauce from the pizza at lunch today stuck on a tooth. I almost gagged,

"How has the plan been going?" I shook it off,

"I haven't seen Ponyboy Curtis all day, maybe he's out sick-"

"NO HE'S NOT!!" I wince at her screeching voice, my hand touching my ear,

"He HAS to be here! He can't leave me alone here, with the likes of YOU!"

I hold back a scoff, the poor boy doesn't even like her.

"So what do you want me to do?" She glared at me, her chihuahua like eyes narrowing,

"He seems to like you, though I can't imagine why." She examined me, the corners of her eyes crinkling, "You aren't attractive, your body is nowhere near as wonderful as mine.."

"I'm a DUDE." I snapped, she nodded,

"So you are." You little-

"None the less!" She said, interrupting my thoughts,

"My boy thinks of you as a friend and we're using that to our advantage." Your advantage, you mean.

"you're coming with me to the party the Curtis' are having."

"The hell would i do that?" she grinned,

"Because I'll tell everyone what you are." i took a breath,

"What time?"

"5 o'clock sharp." She turned and walked away.

I couldn't help but feel sympathy for Ponyboy, he was a good kid, good grades, in track. Not bad looking either. It was only right for him to have girls on his tail, but Maya... I shiver, I would of sent her straight to hell if she hadn't known I was gay. I would of told Ponyboy about everything if she didn't know.

I lean against the lockers behind me in frusteration, rubbing my temples. I HAD told her to get over the guy, like a normal person. My reaction, a slap, a,

"I will NEVER get over him, how DARE you!" and a glob of spit on my eyebrow.

I went home to get ready for the party.

After a while of throwing on clothes, I dragged myself to Maya's house. The entire walk there she bitched about how we were going to be late, and how she was going to kill me if we were. I wanted to hold a gun against my head.

I kick the door open, "Get in an shut up." She did, mumbling under her breath.

I look around for the youngest Curtis after I made sure she was kept busy -chugging beer, that is- I spot him talking with a good friend of his, Johnny Cade.

"Ponykid." I greeted,  walking over to the two,

"How ya doin'?"

He gave me a toothy grin, "Heya Jess, pretty good and you?"

My usual goofy grin faltered,

"Oh... yeah I'm doing swell."

You coward. I heard me tell myself. Can't even defend a good guy.

I couldn't help but agree with myself. I was a coward, too scared to tell my friend that he has an obsessive stalker. Too afraid to tell people what I really am,

Gay.

The end for the first chapter :D i know this kinda sucks, but this is my first one, so please be nice :3
