They say that the ones with the brightest smiles are the most tortured souls...

You said my smile was like one of an angels.

You said you loved me more than anything.

You lied.

I thought I had finally found someone I could cherish and spend the rest of my life with, but I guess I was wrong. 

You said I had one of the brightest smiles you had ever seen. I guess that was because I was suffering the most on the inside.

All the hate I received, merely for loving someone.

Letters stuffed into my postbox...

Notes telling me to kill myself...

Text messages encouraging suicide...

My heart is scarred.

Yet, you failed to notice.

All the pain I hid behind the fake smile you never cared about.

All the cuts on my arm that I had hidden under long sleeves.

Yet, you still claimed to love me. 

I thought that maybe, just maybe, I might be able to live, with Jungkook in my life.

I was wrong.

"Hey, (Y/N) let's break up."

His voice was ice cold, almost to the point it was unrecognisable.

"W-Why...? Did I do something wrong...?" 

"Don't play innocent with me. I know what you did." He gritted his teeth and sent me a deathly glare.

I stayed silent. What had I done wrong?

"One of my fangirls told me that you were constantly harassing her for being a fan of mine," he continued, "I can't let you keep doing this. I CAN'T STAND YOU ANYMORE!!"

He turned to leave. "(Y/N), you're a monster. You're a monster hiding behind a fake smile, dating me for fame." 

And then he left. 

I never saw him again.

He wasn't wrong.

I was just a monster hiding behind a fake smile.

Jungkook POV, One year later:

She was the one I loved. I was so foolish to let her go.

I knew those smiles were fake.

I knew she was hurting on the inside.

I knew about the hate she was receiving.

I knew about her hurting herself.

All. Because. Of. Me.

Yet I did nothing.

I was afraid.

I'm so sorry, (Y/N).

I'm sorry you left this world, and it was all my fault.

I want you back, (Y/N). I want to see your angelic smile again.
