Shanston. The town where no one can explain the mystery of why, specifically, teenagers disappear. For the last 3 years, twenty teenagers disappear have been every year, and are never seen again, until the bodies are found.
Beaten.
Abused.
Deceased.
Most families who move here leave after only being here for a few weeks. Especially those who want to have families and raise their children in safe, secure environments. This is certainly not the place to do that.
Shanston was once a safe place, known for the beautiful plants that once grew in Shanston Garden, and the organic ingredients that even people from hundreds of miles away drove here to purchase. Like most places and things, it faced corruption. Like everything is meant to be in this world. Corruption is all we have, because as much as everyone likes to say that they want things to change for the better, most human beings are the same. They'll never actually act on what they want. Instead, they want someone else to do the dirty work.
There's a killer in Shanston, and with my every single bone in my body, I believe he's the devil.
And I've looked into his eyes.
His stone-cold eyes.
He feeds off the happiness, love, and peace of everyone in Shanston.
And because of this, I am scared for the people of Shanston. Scared for my family, other families, and myself.
Everyone wants to change. People talk of making this town what it once was.
But no one will, because we are all scared.
