Chapter I
'Hmm, rain's just another excuse for weather.' 15 year old Anox Surota said, under his breathe, as he ran for his life... Well, basically training for it. Anox trains in a special camp called 'Camp Sterben', it's a place where only the ready-to-fight-with-all-their-might people go. Anox just calls them trainees, though. They weren't training to fight humans, though... They were training to fight... Zorhts. Zorhts were large creatures, that could grow up to twenty meters high. They had fish like details, such as scales, and glassy eyes, but their features ere different, very different. Zorhts had large, sharp teeth, letting loose outside of their mouths, like tusks, or fangs. Their fins were also very sharp, enough that even the slightest touch would cut a limb off, and cut through bone. They're land creatures though, they have no gills, but they have webbed feet, and they hunch over like Igor, but their arms are skinny, and webbed also, letting them move faster. Zorhts also take no interest in any other plants or animals except for humans, eating them without any remorse. After eating them, however, they have to produce water from their eyes, into their mouth. They hate the taste of humans, but want nothing more than to eliminate any human life, humanity does not know why, though... Not yet.
Anox ran through the rain, carrying his pack full of bricks and rocks on his back. He had to run ten miles around the big training camp, without taking a break. This way, if they ever run into a Zorht, while carrying something, humans could probably out-run them, depending on the Zorht. There is four types.
1. The black Zorht- These Zorhts can sense humans from miles and miles away, but are very slow, and not very powerful. These ones are the eyes and ears for the other Zorhts.
2. The White Zorht- These ones are the most fastest. They can go up to seventy five miles per hour. These ones aren't to powerful, but they have sharp fins. They also can't see very well, either.
3. The red Zorhts- These Zorhts, are the most powerful. They can ram into you, and send you flying through two buildings. They aren't too fast, but enough to send you a blow. They have good eyesight, but terrible hearing and agility.
4. The Purple Zorhts- These Zorhts are the toughest and most difficult to defeat. They're fast, powerful, their senses are phenomenal, and they can fly, but they can't leave the Zorhts nests. They are like the defenders for the nests, and eggs of other Zorhts.
"KEEP UP YOU DAISIES!! YOU ONLY HAVE SEVEN MORE MILES!!" The training leader, Tius Alner said. He was on a horse, of course, and wearing a cozy Sterben camp coat, while they were stuck with something warm just enough to not get pneumonia. Anox ran faster than most other people, he looked back to see some people lagging, whereas others were running at their own pace, just so they don't pass out. Hey, the rain at least kept them cool, instead of hot and sweaty. Although, Anox was still going to take a shower.
Finally after seven miles everybody fell to their knees except for Anox and two others. They high fived each other, while Anox walked over to his cabin and threw his back pack down. He took his wet coat off, lit a fire and lay back on his bed, kicking his shoes off. The two guys from earlier, who didn't almost pass out came in.
"You did great out there!" The black haired one said. Anox recalled his name. It was Deothaldt Illius. He was tall, and slim, with a long face, and a beak type nose. His eyes were sharp, but a calm brown, and his smile gave you the impression that he is gentle.
"Yeah, so did you!" The light ash-brown haired one said. This one was more of a buff build guy. He had small blue eyes, and a rather large nose. He was Ferenzic Arlac. They looked over to Anox and smiled.
