Walking to the cafe after school and getting hot chocolates became a regular thing for you and Xanda over the passed couples of weeks.
So did getting served by the beautiful brown headed girl. Her name was Faye.
Every day when you and Xanda went in there, Faye would bring you hot chocolates.
The three of you became good friends, occasionally Faye would sit and have a short chat with you both before her boss told her to get back to work. It was nice.
She was nice.
Well, you thought so. Xanda on the other hand... He never really enjoyed talking to her.
Ever since you became regulars, he didn't like her much at all. You wanted to talk to him about it, but decided not to.
It wasn't a big deal, well, you didn't think so.

You woke up, it was early in the morning. You could hear your mum down stairs.
You got up, had a quick shower, brushed your teeth then got changed and walked down stairs to the kitchen.
"Morning mum." You said, opening the fridge to get some orange juice out.
"Morning (Y/N)." Your mum replied, looking around for her keys.
You got out a glass and had some juice.
"On the table next to the couch, mum." You said, drinking and putting bread into the toaster.
"Excuse me?" Your mum said, looking at you, confused.
"You're looking for your keys right?" You said, looking up at her.
"Oh, right. Thank you." Your mum said walking towards the couch to get her keys.
You smiled to yourself and continued watching the toaster. It was quiet for a little before you looked back up at your mum.
She had a small smile on her face but her eyes had tears welling up in them.
"Woah, mum are you okay?" You said walking over to her.
"I'm fine, It's just.. You remind me so much of your father when I first knew him.." Tears started falling down her face.
You wrapped your arms around your mother to comfort her.
You started thinking about your dad, but the only thing you remember is him yelling a lot. You guessed mum knew a different side of him though.
After a little while of comforting and eating toast, your mum left for work and you were left to go to school.
--
Slowly, you made your way to school and was already thinking about the joy of getting out of it.
You walked into class and was greeted by Xanda.
"Good morning." He said calmly.
"Not really." You replied, putting books and notes on your desk.
"Something happen?" Xanda asked.
"Just some old memories being brought up with mum this morning."
"Well, I can tell seeing me as just made your day 90% better already." Xanda teased.
"80% actually." You said sarcastically as you both chuckled.
Xanda knew how to make you feel better.
--
By the end of the day you were stressed out about the tons of homework you had to get done in the matter of a week. But, as always, Xanda has come to your rescue and offered to help.
