Tomato the Tomato

                                  Once upon a different time then 1942, there was a family. Once, every week, this family would go out to the super market and get groceries. On a cold, but warmer then average Sunday afternoon, the family went out to the supermarket and bought Tomato the tomato. he was so happy that a family finally bought him! Tomato was ready to be eaten, but he was put in the fruit bowl, and left there until he was almost rotten! This made Tomato very sad. It was his life dream to become a food for humans to eaten! But now, now that the human family who bought must have forgotten that he is there! Tomato couldn't see over the edge of the fruit bowl, so the poor family probably thought that they ate him already! For three weeks, Tomato the tomato just sat there, watching other fruits get put into the bowl, then get taken out to be eaten, until one afternoon, the teenage daughter of the family reached into the bowl and picked up Tomato! Tomato was so excited that he was going to be eaten! "Ewwwww!" Screamed the girl, "Mom! This apple is rotten!" What? thought Tomato, she wanted an apple, not me? Tomato was sad. No one was going to eat him! He just sadly layed there as the daughter took him out and dropped him into a large container that he had seen so many of his friends visit. "Mom! I put the tomato into the composter!" The composter? I've heard of this place! Thought Tomato, This is where fruits and vegetables go when they get old! It is like a retirement home for food items! Later in the once upon the time, Tomato lived a happy life with his friends, as they all decomposed together.
