I lay there,

Looking at my Mom's,

Awful stare.

I wait,

She holds her hand high,

Slapping me with all her hate.

My eye swells,

My Mom covers my mouth,

To quiet my yells.

I whimper in fear,

But my Mom waits,

Now my Dad is here.

He slaps twice as hard,

I felt so broken,

I listen as my Mom calls me a retard.

My Dad yells at me,

My Mom takes a shard of glass,

My Dad nods and they both agree.

You think I would learn,

This could easily be avoided,

All I did was speak out of turn.

While distracted, I reached for the phone,

Three numbers, just three,

9-1-1 but before I could finish, I let out a moan.

My Mom sliced my neck,

I died soon after,

My blood flying, such a wreck.

As my soul left, I had but one thought,

Did all parents do this?

If not, I hope they get caught.

Did my parents care?

Did my parents worry?

Did this give them a scare?

After all my parents told me to learn

I paid the ultimate price,

For simply speaking out of turn.

Now that I'm out of the way,

I hope they're happy,

And that they have a nice day.
