Awake

~~10 months later~~

Liz's POV:

Pain that's all I felt. Crying and a soft voice is all I heard. Blackness is all I see. What happened? I remember a bright light then nothingness. Everything's a blur, I should open my eyes but it hurts, everything hurts. Eventionaly I slowly opened my eyes, one at a time. Lights blinded me when my eyes opened, a groan emitted from my mouth almost as if opening my eyes drained all my energy.

"-abeth, Elizabeth, Elizabeth. Oh my god, she's awake hurry her eyes are opening."

"Ugh you brat shut up, you probably dreamed it"these voices sounded familiar but I could yet see them for the light was too bright.

"No Levi, her eyes are open." My eyes adjusted and I saw Eren and Levi staring at me. I tried to speak, but something was stopping me. So I groaned again and their eyes widen.

"Um, I'll go get the doctor," Levi said as he ran out, Eren just stared at me. I made a motion with my hands pointing at my throat. He looked me confused as if he didn't understand, which he probably didn't. Levi ran in with the doctor not far behind him.

"Well good morning, how are you feeling?" I pointed to my throat hoping he would get the idea boy was I wrong.

"Please answer as your doctor I need to know." so I moved my hands like I was writing and Levi got the idea and got me paper and a pencil.

(ok since Liz can't talk as of right now when I do 'i can't talk' with that one thing people use when their character is thinking I'm using for Liz's writing ok continue)

'I'm in pain' I hope they could read it.

"Okay pain is good," the doctor said to Levi and Eren reassuringly. Eren looked as if he was going to break down at any minute and Levi looked as emotionless as ever. Almost like he didn't care, maybe he didn't why would we weren't blood-related. "How much do you remember?" after that was said I honestly didn't know what to put should it be a lot or a little. To be honest I didn't know how much I remember.

'Not much'

"Okay I'll leave you guys to catch up, and I'll check on you soon"

'WAIT!!!!'

"Yes?"

'What's your name?'

"Oh, Dr.Ral."

'Ok'

"Well thank you for taking your leave." Levi was being really rude and I don't know why. But Dr.Ral left and they looked at me with worry and lack of sleep. "None that she's gone are you ok?" Levi spoke with worry. How could he change so quickly, I'll never understand?

'I'm fine, but in pain. How long was I out for?'

"10 months, I'm sorry to tell you this," Eren said softly while he looked down.

'??????' I wrote quickly

"You missed so much school" Levi spoke quite rudely to tell you the truth. All of a sudden I heard loud voices, the strange thing is I knew them. But from where? Suddenly (y/n), Hanji, Marco, and Jean walked in.

"Liz you're finally awake you missed so much let's see we made friends with (y/n) oh and-"

"Hanji please calm down she just woke up," Marco spoke softly.

"I'm sorry I'm just so happy you're awake Liz."

'its okay' I wrote they looked and noticed the tube that was down my throat. (y/n) teared up a little but tried to hide it. I felt bad I really did. I looked around and noticed that Levi and Eren must've left at some point. They weren't there, they left me alone with people I haven't talked to in what felt like forever.

"Liz, why did you want to jump? Why did you want to die?" (y/n) started to cry tears they were heavy tears and I couldn't say shit. I didn't know what she meant though. Did I try and kill myself, tears started to flow down my face I didn't understand and I had a feeling they weren't going to tell me,

'What do you mean?' I wrote down unsure if what I was hearing was true. (y/n) started to cry more, so bad actually she left the room. I looked at Hanji, Jean, and Marco hoping for answers.

"Liz, you do know how you got in the hospital, right?" Marco looked at me seriously and curiously, I shook my head no. They exchanged looks not knowing who would tell me. Annie walked in slamming the door open looking at me wide-eyed.

"Elizabeth you're awake? I'm so happy" she ran and gave me a hug. I flinched a little in pain and I just hate hugs, however, I was also surprised and confused. I thought she hated me, I thought she didn't want me around her ever.

'Yea, why are you hugging me I thought you hated me' I wrote quickly and she looked at it and shooked her head no. What a way to wake up I thought.
