"Hello everyone" Gota, the god of fire's messanger yelled, as he banged a drum loudly. He stood on a large, sturdy tree, and called the people of fire so loudly you couldn't hear an airplane lifting off 10 feet away from it. That is the reason he is messanger, his loud voice. Hundreds of men wearing dark orange tuxedos, red ties, and jet black shoes crowded into a small area enclosed by large shoes with their wives and daughters, whom were all wearing medium length tea rose orange batiste dresses, yellow sunhats and red shoes. "Maji, our god, has an announcement" the messanger announced. Gota bowed as Maji, the god of fire dressed in a long, black, silk dress decorated by burns and rips, came from behind the large trunk of the tree. Gota climbed down and whispered to himself a few words before going into a cave just a few feet away.

"People of fire" Maji yelled, sternly, yet friendly "Gota has brought you here because I would like to announce something". A short whisper broke out in the crowd, but ended as soon as she parted her lips once more. "I am stepping down as the god" Maji sighed, and looked away for a brief second with sadness in her eyes. Gasping shot through the audience as Maji stated who was going to be the new god of fire.

"My daughter, Sonya, will be ruling our land for now on," Maji announced, looking back at her people quickly once more "I believe that, though she has only lived 8 years, she is responsible enough to become your new god".  Sonya, a sweet little girl who wore a dress, shoes, and a hat like all the other women, wobbled from behind the tree, and hugged her mother's leg as soon as she got close enough. A few woman giggled and said "d'awwe", but most men and women were angry at Maji for chosing such a young child to become god.

"What an irresponsible parent!" they cried "8 years old is too young! Why would you ever want to put this stress on your child?". Maji raised her palm, signalling for people to stop. But they didn't stop. "I'm not taking orders from an 8 year old OR an ex god!" people shouted. Two men even went as far as to physically attacking Maji together. Sonya ran away quickly, but watched in horror as her mom was viciously attacked by two men. She began to cry. "I-is it a r-r-really big deal?" she stammered to herself, making her sob even harder as she wiped her tears with her arm "I-I d-don-m-m-I don't have to be...a god..". Sucking up her tears, she ran away to the cave Gota walked into after he gave his speech.

WHOOSH. A flame rose above the men and plummeted onto them, leaving them to burn and fall into the crowd. Maji simply patted down a little flame that was on her dress with a bloody hand. "I know that she's young, but she has great potential" Maji yelled, surprisingly calm even after the whole situation. She had a gaping cut on her cheek from the fight, and it bled onto her dress before she reached down to grab a leaf. Putting the leaf on the cut, she spoke again to the people. "You are all over reacting. I will make sure I watch over her at all times, though i am not leader," she announced, gesturing to herself "and whenever I am not looking over her, Gota will be".

The shouting and ranting quieted, and after about 6 minutes, it stopped. "Go to your campsites" Maji said, flicking her wrist at the crowd "Sonya will be with you shortly"
