" Mandi. Mandi. Mandi, wake up. " I open my eyes and see my mum standing there. She smiles. " Hi honey. Are you ready to move into your new apartment? " She asks. I sit up. Oh shit. I forgot i was moving out today. I smile and nod my head. "Great! Your father fixed your car last night so you should be good to go. " She laughs and leaves the room. I climb out of my cozy bed and slip on a pair of black jeans with a red shirt and red flats. I apply a light pink lip gloss to my lips and brush my blonde, wavy hair. I grab my suitcases and handbags and race into the kitchen. Mum is cooking pancakes and dad is reading the newspaper while drinking coffee. I tiptoe outside and put my stuff in the back of my car. Dad comes outside. " Where ya think ya going. Ya mother made ya pancakes and ya haven't said goodbye. " He yells. I smile and walk back inside. Mum is serving herself, dad and I pancakes. " Hi mum. " I say as I sit down. Dad sits down across from me. She hands me and dad a plate of pancakes. " Hello dear. Are you all ready? " She asks me. I nod and begin eating. She poors me a cup of tea and sits down. We finish our pancakes in silence. I help mum clean up and say my goodbyes before climbing into my car and driving away. I'm driving to Bendigo, where my new apartment is. My parents live in Newcastle so i'll be driving from there. I slowly drive down the freeway. I guess you could say I was cruising down the freeway. I continue to drive for hours and hours. 6 hours later, I stop at KFC in Albury for a break. It isn't very busy so i go through the drive thru. I get 3 crispy strips, a large chips and a ' kookies n kream ' krusher. I then get back on the freeway and continue the trip. I still have 3 and a half hours to go. 3 and a half hours later, I park the car infront of my apartment. I grab the key for my apartment go to the 5th floor. Then i scan the door numbers, looking for mine. Then i see it. 475. I unlock the door and walk in. Its beautiful. 2 white, leather couchs sit in the living room ontop of a red, fluffy rug. A big, plasma tv sits infront of the couchs on a fancy, black entertainment unit. The kitchen has shiny, marble counters with high tech cooking equitment. My bedroom has a king size bed with a neon green duna ontop of soft white carpet. A tv hangs on the wall near a champagne shaped clock. A big dressing table sits under the tv and a desk sits in the right corner. A walk in robe is near the entry of the room and leads to the ensuite. The bathroom and ensuite have the same counters as the kitchen with a massive shower and massive bath tub. A white telephone sits on a table near the entry. I stare in awe. I start to empty my bags. All the clothes go in the walk in robe and shoes sit at the bottom. I put my makeup in the ensuite along with my deoderent and hair brush. I also put in some perfume. Once i was finished, I checked the clock for the time. Its 10:30p.m. I decide to jump into bed and read a book. I decide to finish divergent because its really good. I finsh the book and go to sleep, thinking about tomorrow. Just like that.
