Stargazer, that's what they call me
Or a daydreamer, someone who's always looking up I guess?
Well that's me. The one always sitting atop a tree,
Talking to the stars.
There's so many of them; did you know they're all millions of miles away?
Incredible. The light from those stars travels all this way,
And reaches MY eyes.
My mom used to tell me, when I was little, to make wishes when I saw a shooting star
I'm too old for that, I'm 8 you know...
That's like, almost a whole decade
Did you know, that when you look at a star you're looking into the past?
It takes years for their light to reach Earth,
The light we see is old,
Possibly THOUSANDS of years old...
I want to be an astronaut one day,
And touch every one of those stars.
Mom tells me that if I dream it, it will come true
Well, I hope I can dream hard enough.
So, Stargazer, that's me,
Cool right?
Now I know what you're thinking -
How are you going to touch every single star in the galaxy?
Well,
My journey will start when land on the moon.
