Here he was again, a blanket wrapped tightly around himself as he kept a bowl of cereal rested snuggly in between his lap, a spoon in his hand as he scoops up the cold yet sweet breakfast food into his mouth. It wasn't 5:35 yet, but the boy he always watched seemed to be out early this particular morning.
His easel, canvas and large selection of paints all out with him. Instead of a can of Dr. Pepper there was a glass of orange juice resting on side on top of a glass lawn table. Baekhyun watched, intrigued as he saw the boy look half awake as he painted along the canvas, and he could only stare. The boy looked quite good with messy hair, and his freckles that only seemed to appear during certain times were scattered along his face, the sun not doing them any justice.
Unlike the usual breeze filled and sunny weather they usually had, Baekhyun noticed it was a little dry today and he could only call himself crazy as he wrapped himself more in the blanket, despite the drastic temperature, he still found it in himself to be very comforting.
Baekhyun munched away on his cereal, his dog sitting right next to him tail wagging violently as he stares at the bowl in Baekhyun's hand hungrily, his eyes bucked and small whimpers emitting from his mouth, wanting nothing more but to duck his face in the bowl. Baekhyun pushes him away many times but the pup can only grow closer.
Baekhyun rolls his eyes, "Cookie, move." The dog only whimpers again, his head lifting up near Baekhyun's. Baekhyun pushes the dog away once again but he only moves closer, growing impatient.
Soon Baekhyun moves again letting out an upset groan, the dog moving closer and releasing what seemed to be the loudest bark ever. In surprise Baekhyun slips back from the window, blanket falling off of him, cereal bowl dropping to the floor and spilling out the contents inside. Cookie barks again and jumps to the floor instantly licking and eating up all the cereal that fell to the ground.
Baekhyun glares at the dog from the floor, rubbing his head that seemed to hit the ground rather hard, he stands up, only to freeze as he feels a pair of eyes on him.
He slowly looks to the side out of his window to see a pair doe brown eyes staring up at him, with a little smile and spark of interest in his eyes.
"You okay??" The boy yelled from outside, paintbrush still in his hand, Baekhyun stood still, he nodded slowly and closed the window ducking behind the cushions, his face beet red and he raises his hands to hide his face.
'He probably knows I was watching him' Baekhyun sighs and looks at his dog, milk dripping from its chin and what Baekhyun could tell from his face was that he was smiling, happy that he won what seemed to be a battle of food. Baekhyun pushes him playfully again, "You busted me out, I hope you know that."
The dog only barks in return, probably to say "sorry"
Baekhyun stands up, not looking at the window for the fear he might meet the gazes with the boy again, he had a slight butterfly feeling in his chest though, the boys voice was deep and was very smooth. Even though that was the first time Baekhyun ever heard the boy's voice, he knew he wanted to hear it again.
And again.
And again.
