Michelle's P.O.V:

"So you times the whole thing by the exponent then subtract one from the exponent." Francisco explained.

He...after a few minutes of asking and annoyance, agreed to tutor me in Calculus.

"You get...that?" I asked as I showed him my work.

"Yup." He said giving me a thumbs up, as I slumped back.

"Ugh...can we have a break?" I asked.

"But we started 5 minutes ago..." He said as I groaned louder.

"Yeah 5 minutes of Math." I responded.

"No wonder you're failing." He said patting my head.

"And you're gonna help me." I said as he rolled his eyes.

"I am not a miracle worker." He said as he closed the book, "Fine lazy, we'll take a 3 minute break." He said as he grabbed my wrist, "And no Texting Mireya and Sierra." He said.

"F**k you." I responded with a huff, "Fine..." I agreed.

Without my phone, I just looked at the parking lot spacing out...until some guy started running to another guy on the phone and tackled him

"F-Francisco?" I asked as I heard him dump the contents of out bags.

"No time to explain, we need to get out of here." He said tossing me my light empty backpack.

"W-Wait what about my books?" I asked worried about how much I'll have to pay later.

"No time for that, we need to get Kaylani and Sara." Francisco said gripping my wrist and dragging me away from the guy.

Once we were about a few meters away, he let go of my wrist and kept running.

"Where are we going?" I asked running out of breath...curse my non-athletic body.

"Overfelt, they are having a game over there, who knows where these things are, hey shoot everyone a text to meet at the office." Francisco told me.

I listened to the order and pulled out my phone.

Luckily everyone was in the group chat...

'Everyone come to the office quickly.' I texted...until I was bombarded with replies that all said the same thing, 'Why?'

I respond with a simple, 'Just do it, Francisco will explain when we get there.'

After that I put my phone back in my pocket after receiving an onslaught of vibrations and notifications.

"Okay we're here." Francisco said.

Overfelt...I been here a few times, but just for CFJ business, I never come here for anything else really.

He guided me over to the softball field, we crossed through the game, and through the glares and curses thrown our way we headed to the Away dugout, which housed Independence, and more specifically Kaylani and Sara.

"Kaylani, Sara pack your stuff, we need you." Francisco said as they looked at us with a confused look.

"Why?" Sara asked.

"We're in the middle of a game." Kaylani added.

"Uggh, look there is...something out there, I don't know what, but all I know is that if you don't come with us, this game will be the least of your problems." Francisco said.

They thought it was some sort of, big prank...until they saw the seriousness in his gaze, they quickly packed up their stuff and exited the dugout.
