Forster Batterham was the common-law spouse of Dorothy Tobey aka Dorothy May Day aka Dorothy Day (1897-1980), a divorcée, socialist, fan of Angela Davis (1944-), Fidel Castro (1926-2016), Daniel Ellsberg (1931-), Jane Fonda (1937-), Hồ Chí Minh 胡志明 (1890-1969), Jim Jones (1931-1978) and the People's Temple, Joseph Vissarionovich Stalin (1878-1953), etc. etc. who had a string of affairs and at least one abortion (urged by woman-beater Lionel Calhoun Moise (1888-1952). She founded the Communist-inspired Catholic Worker Movement (CWM). Battterham and Day enjoyed their dalliance on Staten Island 1925-1929. Forster had another common-law wife, Nanette (?-?) c. 1959. Illegitimate daughter: Tamara Teresa Batterham aka Tamara Teresa Hennessy Tamar Teresa Hennessy aka Tamar T. Hennessy aka Tamar Hennessy aka Tamar Teresa Day Hennessy aka Tamar Teresa Batterham Hennessy born 4 March 1926, baptized Catholic July 1927 in Our Lady Help of Christians Roman Catholic Church, 23 Summit Street, Staten Island, New York 10307 in Tottenville, died 25 March 2008 in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Tamar married William David Hennessy (?-2005) in 1944. By her accounts and those of witnesses, Tamar was neglected by both Batterham and Day. Her offspring and descendants: Sons: David Hennessy Hilaire Hennessy Nichalas Hennessy (?-1987) Daughters: Catherine Hennessy Margaret Hennessy Martha Hennessy Mary Hennessy Rebecca Houghton née Hennessy Susanna McMurry née Hennessy (?-1986) Eighteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, incl grandson Justin Houghton (?-1979) and grandson Joshua Hennessy (?-2004).
