One beautiful spring day, i was walking out of the school on my way home. I had to get home or else my step dad would be beat me like any other day. My body was covered in bruises and cuts from where he hit me. Anyways, i was half way out the door when my best friend Emily ( sorry if your name is Emily) stopped me. "Hey Y/N! I have a little dare for you." she smirked. "Look i really gotta get home. Maybe tomorrow though." i replied really trying to get out the door. "It will only take a second! I promise." Emily pleaded."Fine but make it quick" I said giving in. "You see Mark over there? Go ask him out." Emily said making googly eyes at me. "Oh no no no no!" i quickly said. So Mark is the most popular guy in the school. 9th Grader and every girl in the school is in love with him. EXCEPT ME! Even Emily had a crush on him. Besides, how would a guy like him possibly like a girl like me right? "COME ON! It's a dare! You have to." Emily said. "FINE! But you owe me Big time!" i growled while making my way over to his locker. My heart felt like it was going it explode. "Uh..H-hi Mark. I was just wondering if you would like to go out with me tomorrow night?" I said very nervously. "Haha, you're joking right? Why would i ever want to go out with a slut like you?" Mark harshly said. "w-what?" i started to tear up. " You heard me slut! Now go away!" Right then, all the anger that was built up inside me came out and i smacked Mark Ellis right across the face. I instantly regretted that. "shit" i whispered to myself. "You better run!" Mark said looking up. Right in that moment, i took off sprinting out the door. Mark and his "gang" ran after me. I thought i lost them but then i felt a pain in my back and i fell to the ground. Mark and his so called gang started kicking and punching me. Great! More wounds to add to the collection!
