My name is Grace Thomas and I live in Westbrook Pennsylvania. I'm unlike any other girl that I've met since I would love to play soccer. You see, girls aren't allowed to play yet but I know, I just know that someday they will have a woman's soccer team. My brother's John and Daniel both play soccer and I am very jealous of them. Instead of wearing trousers and barefeet, I wear knee-length that socks that only Ma approves of. This is the twenties. Ladies go to church every Saturday and Sunday and sit pretty in their little pink dresses and flowery hats. But I try to get a moment for myself so, after service when Ma is talking to the preist, I go outside and do moves with the soccer ball. I love practicing because even though I am not on a team, one day I will. It might take a while to make this happen but I have enough drive to do so.
