Paige was roaming around Hässleholm looking in the book and thrift shops to see what new pieces she could find. She took notice that there was a discount vintage dress for sale in the main thrift shop. It was a pearly white with black ribbons around each of the sleeves and they ended in long drapes. She snatched the dress from it's hanger and hastily ran over to the counter and purchased it. She walked out admiring her new possession when she tripped over a rift on the side walk and fell into the road. A woman in a floral print dress helped her off the ground. "Are you okay dear?" (She was the owner of the shop.)
"Yeah, it wasn't that hard." Then a man came over to her right side the woman continued to hold on to her left arm.
"You sure you're okay?" The large man asked. "Yes, yes I'm fine. Thank you."
Paige went to leave as soon as the lady let go of her. "Why don't you get in our car and go to the hospital to make sure," as the man came closer. "Please dear," the woman asked. Paige continued to cover her fear as she rolled her dress into her ivy saddle bag.
"Thanks for the offer but, I must leave."
Paige quickly walked to her car and drove. It wasn't even a mile out of the town until something popped both of her front tires. She cursed to herself and stepped out of the car and into the darkness, it appeared that the car had ran over a spike strip the kind that a cop would use then multiple head lights turned on in the surrounding forest on each side. Her eyes grew wide 'Oh no,' Paige ran back into her car just as some people came rushing out of the cars and towards her. She tried to find her phone to dial for the police but realized the owner of the thrift shop must of taken it out of her pocket. 'She's one of them and so is the man.' The people were banging on the windows all around her and one man even pulled out a police baton and shattered the glass next to her. Paige screamed louder as he put her in a head lock trying to pull out she pulled out her pocketknife and sliced his elbow open making him let go of her and the baton. The others started breaking the glass and were coming in. Paige kicked open her door and hit a woman in the face as she ran towards her and kept running hitting and dodging person after person as they advanced towards her with weapons and bindings in hand. As she sprinted down the road all she could hear was her breathing and the sound of numerous feet behind her; she didn't dare look back from fear it would slow her down. There had to be at least thirty people back there and probably fourteen currently chasing her. She ran and ran even though her boots made her ankles feel like shattering until somewhere from behind her the fastest of the hostile group pounced on her and held her to the ground. The small group started shouting that they got ahold of her. One man had her by the hair. 'I will not die here!' she snarled loudly and ferociously and found a strength boost within her making her struggling more difficult to handle she elbowed, hit them with her head, and tried dragging herself from under them until she sprung free. She beat the people with her baton and slit ones throat and continued running back to the city. When she finally made it her ankles and knees felt like cracking; earlier when she finally made it to the city outskirts her one of her boot heels broke. She no longer heard or saw anything and hobbled into an alleyway. She finally had time to check for damage and observed herself. The front of her dark blue skinny jeans were dirty the same with the front of her white button up. The part were the sleeve was sewn into the main shirt was torn almost all the way off. She decided to take her brown boots off and stuff them in her bag. She slid down the wall of the alley and crossed her arms slowly rubbing them with her hands in an effort to comfort herself. She could feel blood trickling down her left eyebrow and into her eye and down her cheek but didn't care enough to wipe it. About sixteen minutes passed and she was slightly dozing until a middle aged man walked out into the alley to dump trash when he spotted her. She looked like someone had attacked her. The man invited her inside. She went upstairs to clean herself up as the man dialed the police. Paige was washing her face in the sink and heard a loud thud against the floor followed by his wife's screaming and then a gunshot. Paige realized what was going on and quickly went into the room opposite of her as she heard crashing sounds from below her as they searched for her followed by running up the staircase. She tried her hardest to open the window but it was to jammed and aged to even budge. As the large man from near the thrift store entered the bedroom Paige full on charged at the window breaking it with the right side of her body adding more scratches to herself and when she hit a brick wall fence she screamed as she felt ribs beak on impact and fell weakly to the ground. Even though her vision blurred from pain she forced herself to get up and keep going. Two women were waiting outside by a car and saw Paige run out the back gate and rushed at her. She had the look of a scared animal on her face almost a dear in head lights feature to her. One woman grabbed at her from behind and only managed to grab the clam shell necklace and ripped it from her. Paige spun around and right hooked the woman in the face as the other one pulled out a pistol. She and the woman fell to the ground the woman scratching at her face, arms, and neck ripping her button up open and sending buttons flying in multiple directions. They rolled around on the ground as Paige kept flitting her eyes back and forth between the one on top of her to the one trying to get a good shot in. Paige kicked the woman off her and then grabbed a chunk of pavement and threw it at the woman with the gun. She got up and started running as fast as she could and was almost away from the house when she felt to explosions of pain, one in the back of her right knee and one in the back of her left shoulder. She let out a loud scream and collapsed to the ground and her vision faded away as feet appeared in front of the places she could see.

Fossegrim stood by the waters edge near the cabin wondering when Paige would be back unaware that she may not come back.
