"Hihihi! Stop tickling me Nico!!Hahaha!" I giggled while Nicolas was tickling me. He grinned.
Worick came into the library and saw us. He had an angry face expression. He tapped the shoulder of Nico and Nico immediately stopped.
He turned around and saw my angry brother. "I told you to leave my sister alone,Nicolas. And you still play with her." Worick suddenly slapped him.
Nicolas didn't even flinch he just stood there with a blank face. I've always hated it when my brother slapped Nico for his 'behavior'.
I got teary and ran away. "Wait-Eli!!"
-Present,20 years later-
"Damn it!" I hissed as I cut a piece of paper,of boringness. I sighed and leaned back. It was so boring.
Alex was at bastard's doing whatever with Loretta and my brother and Nicolas were at the police station.
I stood up and walked to the window just staring at the sky,wishing I could go out,but I couldn't.
Worick already hates it when I'm alone at home and when I'm alone on the streets of Ergastulum....well then it would escalate.
I hummed some random song until a loud door interrupted me. I turned around and saw Alex. She looked happy.
"Hey A." I greeted her. "Hey Eli." She said. I smiled,she's so sweet and I don't even know why or how.
"How was it with Loretta?" I asked. She shrugged. "Quiet boring." She said and placed herself on the couch still looking at me.
She was in her early thirties,but she looked so young and beautiful. I smiled at her. She chuckled. "Why are you smiling the whole time?" I shrugged,not wanting to tell her that she was the reason.
"Are you hungry?" She asked. I shook my head and placed myself next to her. Then I suddenly had a rhythm in my head and I started to hit the table with my hands,in some random rhythm.
"Damn,that's a good rhythm." Alex said and tried to think of a text. Then she suddenly got a text and started to sing.
This was sick,in a positive way.
"Damn What did we miss?" I heard Worick say. I jumped and my heart started to pound quickly. "Aaaargh Worick you scared the shit out of me!" I shouted at him. He raised his eyebrows.
"Hey! No cursing and yelling!" He warned. I just rolled my eyes of how strict he is. Then I noticed Nicolas staring at Worick and I smiled. I really like Nico he's so nice.
"Hay Nico!" I greeted him,but he didn't see me so I stood up And tapped his shoulder. "Hi Nico." I said and he signed 'hello'. I smiled.
"What's up with the police station?" Alex asked. Worick sighed. "They will call us when they need us." My brother said. Alex nodded.
"Worick." I said,he turned to me. "Can I go out?" I asked sweetly. He suddenly looked pissed. "With?" He asked. "Come on,Worick. I'm not a little child!! I'm 29 years old and you act like you're my father!" I whined. He shook his head.
"You're staying here until you found someone who I trust to go out with you." He said and lit up a cigarette. I stumped my feet and crossed my arms,like I used to when I was small."You're so unfair!" I yelled running into someone's bedroom and locked it.
I placed myself on the bed who I guess belongs to Nico since I smell his scent and started to cry. I'm a frustrated,little,helpless girl- woman.
I heard a knock. "LEAVE ME!!" I yelled and I didn't care who it was. The person still knocked and that meant it was Nico. I sighed and opened the door for him.
Nico gave me a sad smile and hugged me. He was always the one brother I've always dreamed of. I sobbed into his shirt and whispered "Sorry." unnecessary.
He padded my back. He closed the door and surprisingly carried me to his bed. He stared patiently at me waiting until I'm finished with my unnecessary crying.
I looked at him and he signed 'I know how it feels to be commanded' I nodded wanting him to continue. 'But It's my job.'I cried even more. I had so much sympathy with him.
"Why did he chose me? Why do I have to be commanded?? Tell me Nico." I sobbed. He shrugged. 'He cares for you'
I shook my head. "No. This cannot be called 'care' cause when you care about someone you don't lock them up!" I said.
He became silent with me. It's actually rarely when Nico communicates with me or the other so it was strange for me.
"You're being too strict with her,Worick. She needs her freedom." I heard Alex say. "You don't understand Alex. It isn't that easy to be an older brother. You always give yourself the fault when something happens to your little sibling,don't you?" It was silence.
"That's What I thought. If someone needs me or the police station calls wake me up,I need a nap." I heard Worick yawning and Alex sighed.
I looked at Nico who was already staring at me. I sighed. I took his hand and started to play with his fingers,a habit. I noticed that he was still staring at me so I said "when is Nina coming for your pills?" He shrugged. I sighed again.
He tapped my shoulder and I looked at him. 'Worick said he wants you to go out with someone he trusts.I think he trusts me.' He signed.
"Are you sure you want to go? You look pretty tired....and I don't want to be the reason why you're getting stressed. 'I'm sure.' he signed. I smiled.
We went out and I saw Alex making a soup. "Hey El,are you okay sweetie?" She asked and I nodded. "I'm going out with Nico." I said. "Okay....don't be out long...I'm making soup....my special soup so it needs-" "One hour,I know Alex. We will be there in time." She smiled and waved at us.
I don't really sign with Nico. He can read my lips and I understand his signs.
We silently walked along the streets watching people walk by us and men whistle at me. Nico feels when I'm uncomfortable so he always glares at every single person who he guess to be the reason.
Well there has Worick a point....it is often really creepy as woman to go around,but if I would 'go around' I wouldn't go that far.
Suddenly I see many men standing far away from me and Nico. You could hear loud noises like....shots.
