I was driving down Nicole Dr on my down to the florist so I could pick up some of my mom's favorite flowers, Coneflowers. I buy her some every time she comes back. Eventually I'm just going to need to plant her a garden of them so I could stop buying them.

Pulling into the old and damaged parking lot of the florist called *David's Flower Shop. *The instant you pull in you notice that this building has been around since the town was first built in the 1930's. Even though the outside of the shop may be all old and broken down, walking into the inside you see shiny tile floors that have recently been polished, the walls covered in fawn colored paint, and every which way you look there are flowers. To the right there are multiple colors of roses, to my left there's tulips ranging from red to purple. Walking in you have to pay attention or you will easily run into a shelf full of different sized pots fit for flowers.

Even though the shop is called "David's" there is no actual owner called David.

Supposably the original owner of the flower shop was a man in his 30's and he opened it for his wife to come and enjoy. But he soon wasn't able to be able to keep up the rent and had to sell it to a woman after 10 years of service. His name wasn't David though, it was Zane. No one really knows where he got David from. Some guess that it was a son or brother that he might've lost and others suggest that his wife had chosen to name it after the man that had been her long lost teenage boyfriend.

The worker that was always there is named Josh and walking in he was stocking the bottom shelf of flower seeds. Hearing the bell on the door ring he said something without even looking up to see who it was.

"I'll be right with you in a minute."

As he put the last stack of packages down he finally peeked his curly redhead around the corner and spotted me.

"Oh. It's just you. I was kinda waiting for you come." He stopped for a second to stand up and brush off the dirt on his pants. "I heard your mom was coming back tonight so I already went ahead and put the flowers together for you. They are sitting behind the counter if you want to grab them."

"Thanks. I love that you already know what I'm gonna get." I said chuckling a bit as I began to walk to the counter.

"Well you have come here enough times. I have been working here since I was a junior in high school. Now that I'm a sophomore in college that's what, 4? Going on 5 years? Yah I kinda pick up on things." He paused for a second and chuckled, "Eventually."

Walking over to the counter, I wrap behind it and grab the flowers. This time they are pink, last time they were white. I laid the money on top and looked at him walking over to the counter.

"How is college going by the way?" I ask with actual interest.

He just shrugs and says, "It's not that bad so far. Since the year is only half way through there isn't much to say to be honest. But I'm liking it."

"Well that's good. I can't wait to go to college. I was planning on going to Colorado State University. It's only about 50 miles north from my house. But in order to get accepted and pay tuition, I need to get a lot of scholarships since mom can't pay my way through."

"Yeah. But I have no doubt in you getting accepted. You're at the top of your class even though you skip so much. Well you know, except for Geometry. Are you still struggling with that?" He asked with real concern.

"Yes. Yes I am and I hate it. Very much because all I can seem to be able to achieve is a D to very low B. It's irritating."

I hate explaining Geometry to someone. Especially when I struggle with it and the one I'm talking to speaks of how it was so easy for them and how can I struggle at it. Josh was one of the best students in that class when he took it. He tutors me in it every now and then when I really need it.
