"Now if you can finish before the end of class then turn it to the bin before you leave." Uggh if this class can last any longer, I'll... do something, whatever. Last class of the day and everyone just standing at the door except me as usual, most are turned away from the door as the teacher sends them back to their seats. Though most just get back up to go to stand by the door again. A minute left until the bell rings, I prime my self to get up, my leg shaking in anticipation. The others pushing against each other to get next to the door. *ding ding ding ding* I push myself out of my chair, as the others start slowly moving through the door. Others turn around realizing that they need to talk to the teacher, I move with the crowd as we head for the stairs down and move outside, I see faces of people that I know from last year but keep to themselves, I press my hand against the door keeping open for me to pass. I look up to the sky it carries dark clouds as light flashes briefly and thunder claps with force that get people to jump, laughing it off as they go back to socializing. I move past the mob of people, all crowded around the bike rack, I grab my bike, kicking up the kickstand, the seat squeaks from all the water as I sit down. I weave back through the crowd, heading to the iron gate as I ride my bike, I hear security yell at me to get off my bike I do so but grudgingly. I get past the large iron gates as the crowd starts to break off into groups of people, I get back on my bike looking back should any of my friends be behind me. I see no one and start pedaling past the parking lot for the students, rain starts to pour down. I see windshield wipers start wiping and cars moving slightly slower, I come to an intersection connected to the parking lot and the main street, stopping only to plug in my earbuds to my phone and start playing my music. My jeans and jacket only slightly give in to the rain, letting me feel the pitter patter of it my backpack does the same. The cars stop and I start pedaling across the street, I hear a faint and drowned out voice yell "THE LIGH-" *crack* too late I get struck by the lightning. I go limp and tense up at the same time feeling the heat and electricity, I fall over sliding, my bike with me. I slide for a few feet, the rain letting me glide across the road. By the time I stop, I begin to have a seizure, twitching with the power of the electricity. I can barely hear the people yelling to call 911, my music brings me some comfort as it still plays. The rain is still pouring, soaking my hair, as the ambulance picks me up and puts me on a stretcher, I start to feel like a fading dream. I feel the wheels of the stretcher hitting the floor as I am being loaded in, a lady pulls out my earbuds as she straps a mask on my face. Asking me who I am, I tell her I am Angel, I try to move but I feel a light hand on my chest keeping me down. More and more of what she says fades, I hear a loud shrieking noise, then a surge of energy hits me. I start coughing blood, I hear the lady panic as I did, I feel time loosely as I hear a wave of noise but nothing distinct. The rest begins to blur as I feel a prick in my arm.
