(Sydney's P.O.V.)

I am a genius. I'm sure by now you've realized that my feet didn't actually hurt. I like to think of myself as a sneaky bitch :) Paige knew it, but Darrian was probably to busy flirting with Harry to notice. They're so going to go out. They have to.

Since I was driving, everyone was a little scared. I wouldn’t blame them though. I did just get my license…oh well, I am a pretty good driver if I do say so myself. We finally arrived at the breakwater, and everyone piled out. Luckily there were only a few old people there so we wouldn’t have any fan trouble.

We started walking down the breakwater, me walking next to Niall. We were just talking and laughing and somehow got to the topic of singing.

“So, have you always been singing?” he asked me.

“No……well……I guess. I never really sing in front of people. Just my parents and the girls, and well you guys. It probably wasn’t that good though. I was super nervous.” I said while blushing a bit. The truth is, I have major stage fright.

“Really? I didn’t really notice it. You sounded amazing though. Unlike anything I’ve ever heard.” He said. I blushed even more.

“Have you heard yourself?” I said laughing.

“Talking or singing?”

“BOTH! If I had an Irish or British accent, I would never shut up! And your singing is beautiful!” I said smiling.

“Thanks.” He said smiling. “So how come you have stage fright? You have your piano recitals, how is that any different?” he said.

“Well, in seventh grade, I sang a song with another girl in the chorus, and during my solo, I swallowed.” I said squeezing my eyes shut with horror remember the horrible moment. “I have never been able to sing in front of huge crowds ever since.” I said. He started laughing. “Are you laughing at me?” I said totally horrified.

“No of course not. I just find it funny at how awful you think that is.” He said still laughing

“It IS horrible!” I said starting to laugh with him. Oh come on! You would’ve laughed to! You can’t not laugh when Niall Horan is laughing.

“So, what happens if Simon likes you guys, which I don’t know why he wouldn’t, I mean like if he likes you guys, he’s going to do something about it. Which means you would have to perform in front of huge crowds all that time.” He said.

“You know, I had been trying to avoid that thought. I guess I just figured if I put it off for long enough I could just suck it up and do it.” I said looking at the ground. I really hadn’t thought about that factor at all. I suppose I didn’t really want to. God Niall why did you have to put that thought in my head?

“Hey guys look!” We heard coming from in front of us. I looked up to find Louis pointing to the lighthouse at the end of the breakwater.

“Whoa cool” Harry said. I was still trying to figure out what was so amazing.

“It’s a lighthouse. What’s so cool about it?” Darrian said, almost taking the words right out of my mouth.

“I dunno. It seems creepy and old.” Louis said.

“Well yeah, of course it’s old.” Paige said as if everyone should know. “Sometimes I question you boys…” we all just laughed and walked around the lighthouse to the stairs and went up to the top platform.

“Can we go inside?” Louis asked jumping up and down.

“Unfortunately, no. Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever been inside.” I said.

“Awww….so basically all we can do is look at it?” Harry asked looking a bit down.

“Pretty much….” Darrian said patting him on the back. “But if it makes you feel any better, there’s a spectacular view of the water on the other side.”

“LET’S GO THERE!” Louis said, practically running down the stairs and around the back side of the lighthouse, Harry hot on his trail. The rest of us followed laughing. When we reached the back, we found a completely mesmerized Harry and Lou.

“WOW! This is amazing. Don’t you think Hazza?” Lou said not taking his eyes off the water.

“It truly is Boo Bear. It truly is.” Harry replied. The rest of the boys went up and stood up beside them, staring into the sea. It really was beautiful. We didn’t want to ruin the moment, so the girls and I stayed back. I took a moment to look at them before taking my phone out to take a picture. It was completely perfect the way the fog was just starting to roll in around them. It looked so beautiful, even if it was from behind.

“It’s gotten quite chilly now that we’re all the way out here.”  I said.

“Now that you mention it, it does seem colder.” Paige said going along with me.

“Did you bring the jackets from the car?” Darrian asked, finally catching on.

“No, I thought you had them.” I said. The girls and I were I guess you could say pretty good actresses. The boys turned around. They had actually worn their jackets, unlike us. Although, we kind of did it on purpose.

“Here” Harry said taking off his jacket and wrapping it around Darrian. Louis then took his sweater off and gave it to Paige, which I thought was the cutest thing EVER! Finally Niall came over to me and took of his hoody and gave it to me.

“Thanks” we said at the same time smiling.

“Let’s sit!” I said walking towards the edge, but not going all the way. I sat down, and everyone else came and sat down next to me. I looked over to find Darrian leaning her head on Harry’s shoulder, and Paige doing the same on Lou’s. I just smiled at slowly put my head on Niall’s shoulder. This was truly, the perfect day.
