Family ain't just a word,
It's feelings, it's emotions,
Family ain't just people,
Towards them is a strong devotion.
They see us grow,
They see us fall,
They see us crying,
And sometimes it's because we had a brawl.
But they give us the strenght to stand up tall,
Be fearless and determined,
Fighting against all odds,
Little we may be but they never make us feel small.
They scold us,
They tease us,
They love us,
And we stay the little naughty kids creating a fuss.
Demanding what we want,
Getting what we we wish,
Have we ever thought,
If we are being selfish?
There is nothing much they ask us in return of their great sacrifice,
Just some love and affection,
But we are just so imprecise.
Whether you're a little sister asking your elder brother for a novel,
Whether you're the youngest daughter asking for a new goggle,
They always have their ears to your never ending demand,
For a father's little princess, the earth is a fairyland.
But alas we fail to understand,
What they do, they do for us,
And alas we fail to know how much for us they withstand.
Lets get up,
Lets stand tall,
Lets make them all proud,
Prove it we will never let them down,
In our success,
let them touch the clouds!
