2D x Reader (Oneshot)

CRAACK!! Lightning struck the island with all it's might. Your eyes shot open to the sound as you stared at the ceiling of your room. 'Another storm to keep me up all night, great,' you sighed.

You could hear from the room above you the sounds of a movie playing. There were screams and slurping sounds from a television. You rolled your eyes. '2D's watching another zombie movie,' you thought.
Despite the sounds of zombies, the storm managed to ring in your ears with every strike of lightning.

Knock knock. "(y/n)? Yew awake?" You didn't bother to open your eyes. "I am now," you said in a muffled voice. 2D closed the door behind him and you could hear his heavy footsteps grow closer to you. "Sorry ta bother yew love, but um.... th-tha big fish is wotching me again," he said nervously. He stood a few feet away from you. You finally turned to look at him. He stood there looking down at you, wearing nothing but boxers with hearts. He was also carrying a small stuffed bear that was missing an ear and had stuffing falling out of that open area. You couldn't help but smile. "And what do you want me to do about that?" you said sarcasticly. You could see blush creep across 2D's face as he responded. "I woz wonderin if I could sleep in 'ere wif yew..." Blush appeared across your face. "Y-yeah..... sure, blud," you responded with a hint of nervousness in your voice.

2D smiled and jumped into bed with you. After he settled in, you could feel 2D's body heat. He was so close to you. You could hear his soft breathing as he laid unmoving.

".....2D?" you whispered as you turned to his face. There was only a few inches between you and him. "Hm?" he didn't open his eyes. You studied his face as he gently breathed onto yours. "I um... I got something I wanna tell you..." your eyes glistened as you spoke but 2D payed no attention to it. Assuming he wasn't going to wake up again, you gladly continued the conversation alone. "Well uh.... I've been thinking that... well ya know, we've been..." you sighed. Why was it so hard to explain your feelings? "I sort of have these weird.... Bubbles in my stomach when we get close like this and uh....." You stopped speaking and decided it was best to save this for a time when it mattered. A time when he was actually listening.
