Nothing was planned out very much, to my dismay. I would much rather have a formed plan, a schedule to follow. But that was college I suppose, there's only so much you could control.

"Hey Brielle!!" my overly cheerful roommate burst into the room looking, to be brutally honest, like shit. Not to mention the stench of stale beer on her person.

"Oh hey what's up Casi?" I turned away from my desk and pretend to be interested in what she was about to tell me.

"Dude it's been a week since you've got here and I haven't seen you leave campus once!" she almost toppled over and I got up to steady her.

"I'm not really a party person Casi," I told her gently, leading her to the cluttered bed that was across from mine.

"But Bri," she paused and i saw tears starting to form. Oh god she was an emotional drunk wasn't she.

"Look, if you lay down and rest tomorrow We can go somewhere, I'll go with you," I promised her while covering her up. Casi nodded and as soon as she was comfortable she was out like a light

I don't intend on keeping that promise, I just hoped she was too disoriented to remember me saying that. For the next few hours I caught up on my reading that was required for the Literature class I would be taking in another week. Before I knew it I had plopped into my bed and fell asleep.

NEXT MORNING

"BRIELLE!!" Casi quite literally jumped on top of me. WIthout thinking I pushed her off of me and grabbed the can of pepper spray that lived on my nightstand.

"Don't shoot!" Cassi raised her hands up, giggling like crazy. How on earth did this girl recover from a hangover so quick?

"You scared the living fuck out of me," I stated plainly. I set the can back onto its place before stretching my arms up and behind my back.

"I'm sorry but I am feeling so much better and I am absolutely stoked about spending the day together!" she defended herself. I inwardly groaned. Luck wasn't on my side evidently.

"Oh Um, yeah I guess.. Uh where to first?" I tried to sound as "stoked" as Casi was but I think I was failing.

"It's a surprise!! You don't even need to get dressed!" She exclaimed.

I raised an eyebrow at that. Normally I disproved of people going out in pajamas, and as much as I hated to say it I kinda needed Casi to, not hate me.

"Uh Can i wear leggings and a hoodie?" I asked hopefully. Casi looked me over for a moment before nodded.

"Yeah That'll work, I'll go start the car while you get dressed." Without another word she flounced out of the room, gently shutting the door behind her.

Grateful for the moment of solitude, I took a second to seriously evaluate what I was doing. I needed Casi to like me. She was ,afterall, my roommate and it was one of few the very few things my mother had gave me advice about.

"If your roommate likes you life will be hundred times easier bri," She had told me while taking a drag of those awful cigarettes she always smoked.

"Even if they like to party or loved to study 24/7 like you, it will be easier, you'll have someone to talk to, to be dependent on..god knows you hate having to depend on someone other than yourself."
