"Rose?" whispered Juliet. Rose opened her hazel eyes, her eyes adjusting to the dark, making out the small figure of her sister.
"What is it now?" Rose muttered, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes.
"It's 6, Dad told me to wake you," Juliet said with a extra pinch of fake sugar. Rose rolled over on her other side, turning her back to Juliet and instead was facing her old 'Toradora' poster. Rose heard the 'squeak' of the bed as Juliet hopped beside Rose's legs.
"Go away Juliet, I'll be up in a few minutes," Rose groaned. Juliet didn't respond and just started jumping up and down on Rose's bed. Rose felt irritation sting her like a bee but sat up in her bed, knowing if she fought with Juliet she'd get in trouble with her dad. Rose got to her feet, Juliet hopping like a bunny beside Rose as she walked toward the door.
Rose looked at the kitchen table, and as usual it had two bowls of cereal on it with a sticky-note stuck to the table.
'Even when you move some things never change.' Rose thought to herself as she sat down across from Juliet and ate. Rose didn't even bother reading the note, it probably said something like:
"Sorry Ladybug, I couldn't be there this morning. I know I'm never home and bring you and your sister along with you everywhere I go for work causing you to have to move schools all the time, but it's okay because I'll buy you stuff,"
Rose was kind of used to this by now. Once Rose was done with her cereal she took hers and Juliet's bowl and washed it before heading to the bathroom to take a shower.
Rose ran her fingers through her shoulder-length brown hair, her once anxiety filled mind an empty space. Once Rose got the conditioner out of her hair she stood there for a few minutes, loving the feeling of the warm water falling on her back before turning it off and stepping out of the shower. She wrapped the towel over her cold body before walking to the mirror, studying her face. Rose had an oval face shape with greenish-blueish eyes- hazel. Rose sighed and applied her makeup before stepping out of the bathroom.
"Finally you take forever, it's already 6:30," Juliet complained before stepping into the bathroom. Rose rolled her eyes and got changed into her normal ripped jeans with all different kinds of deformed marker drawings and a t-shirt that said 'Cowboys.'
Rose sat on her bed, brushing out her course hair and grabbed her camo backpack and put on black running shoes just in time to see Juliet walk into the room and sit on her own bed across from Rose's.
"Now who takes forever?" Rose teased.
"Shut up," Juliet muttered. Rose left the room for her to change and in a few mins, she walked out with blue jeans and a green tank-top. Rose looked down at her cracked phone and let out a small gasp. It was 7:25 and they had to be at the bus stop by 7:30.
"Want me to give you a piggyback ride?" Rose offered frantically.
"Yea!" Juliet cheered and hopped on Rose's back as she bent over, wrapped her tiny arms around Rose's neck and her legs around her back.
"Hold on tight," Rose let out a small laugh and ran down the flight of stairs to the apartment and down the street.

Rose saw the bus pull up just as she got to the bus stop. Rose sighed with relief as she let Juliet slide off her back, catching her breathe before heading onto the bus w/ the rest of the kids.
