Masons POV
"Come on dude we never see you anymore! It'll be fun one night out!" My friend Terry pestered him and some of the guys have been trying to get me to go clubbing with them for months but I feel like I'm to old for things like this.
"I don't know Terry we are 25 ... is clubbing even a thing for guys our age?" Terry looked hurt
"Of course it is! That's how you get laid"
"Terry I'm dating one of your best friends" he laughed
"Yeah and you're miserable the only reason you're still with her is because you feel like shit that you left serenity for her" his eyes widened as if he didn't mean for the words to come out of his mouth
"Mason dude I'm so sorry I didn't mean-" I cut him off with a wave of my hand
"No it's alright... we both know that's true" it was silent after that I knew Terry felt bad and I wanted him to know I wasn't mad I knew I was going to regret this but ...
"Alright fine ... I'll go with you guys" his face lit up with excitement I swear this dude is 16 at heart.
"Really?! Great! You're going to love it man! The place we're going has the coolest bartender! Plus they have a girl who sings and does entertainment plus it's karaoke night so you can sing to! Also she's gorgeous!" I laugh I walk out of the room. Every time Terry says someone is "gorgeous" I can't help but think about serenity.... I have yet to meet anyone who is as beautiful as she was. I still remember the first time I met her.
*FLASHBACK*
It was my first day working here at Kmart and I was sitting in the training room waiting for the other 2 coworkers. I was looking through my phone when I heard someone coming up the stairs suddenly and out of no where this petite girl literally tripped into the training room. She gained her balance and glanced at me and laughed. I smiled at her ... she was hands down the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. She had long light brown hair with pink at the tips of it, she was about my guess 5'5" and she was curvy in all the right ways but what really caught me off guard were her beautiful dark brown eyes.
"Hi I'm serenity" she smiled and I felt my stomach turn in knots
"Mason" and I put my hand out for her to shake. She had small soft hands
"It's nice to meet you" she was so sweet and her voice was soft I looked at her again and she was wearing black slacks and a light blue sweater her makeup was done and her nails were painted a dark red. She looked over at me
"I love your tattoos, where'd you get them at?" All I could do was stare at her words refused to form thank god our other coworker walked in another girl
"Hey I'm looking for the training room"
"You're here" we both said and looked at each other I smiled at her and she looked ... amused.
"I'm Mason" I said to the other girl hoping to ignore Serenity she just smiled and sat across the table from me. Serenity sat in the chair beside me and I could smell her perfume it was sweet I glanced at her again and she was typing away on her phone. I smiled to myself and knew that I was going to enjoy working here.
*END FLASHBACK*
That was 2 years ago and when I think about her I still get knots in my stomach... I miss her so much but after what I did she could never forgive me.
"Mason you ready yet!" I looked in the mirror I was in black skinny jeans and my favorite flannel. My blond hair was messy just the way I style it I put on my cologne
"Yeah man lets go!"

We finally get to the outside of the club it's called "Wild things" I laugh of course this is Terry's favorite bar
"Come on man! It's great plus I'm friends with the bartender and the entertainment girl" I follow him inside and am greeted right away with hot sweaty bodies. I follow Terry up to the bar where he introduces me to the bartender. She's a pretty girl long black hair, tall definitely taller then me and she had green eyes wearing jeans and a plain shirt
"This is my girl chyanne! Chyanne this is my best friend Mason" she looked at me as if she had already knew me studying my face
"Hi nice to meet you!"
"Yeah. What will you have?"
"Just a beer thanks!" She handed me my beer then went on to flirt with Terry. Just then the light hit the stage and a girl with short black hair walked across the stage. My heart nearly sank when she turned to face the crowd. Once where her long brown hair was is now short and black she has a tattoo on her wrist that she got with me her lip was pierced her ears gaged. Wearing black leggings and a shirt that hugged her body tightly. Her makeup the same as it had always been then her beautiful brown eyes locked with mine. I saw the panic across her face ... my beautiful serenity my sweet, shy, never wanting to be the center of things serenity was in the stage as this bars entertainment.
"Hey guys it's your girl serenity!" I couldn't hear whatever else she had said the girl I love with all my heart the girl who's heart I absolutely destroyed was here. After she was done talking I saw her run into the bathroom I looked at Terry
"You knew didn't you!"
"What are you talking about man?"
"The entertainment that is "so gorgeous" you knew it was Serenity didn't you?!" He looked at me guilty
"I'm sorry man ... but you needed to see her it's been a year and she's still all you think about" I couldn't be mad he was right. But the look she gave me ... she hates me I know she does. She walked up to the bar talking to chyanne
"Chyanne is her roommate and her best friend" of course she is. I started walking towards her I couldn't stop myself before I knew what I was doing I tapped on her shoulder. She turned to face me looking at me with those brown eyes I love
"Hey serenity no time no see" she looked at me blank faced then smiled. God I've missed her.
